• Open book exam– Bring whatever written material you like– NO electronic aids• laptops• PDAs• Anything else that can be networked
– For example, you can bring:• Printout of all slides• Your own notes• A textbook

• Format:• A series of short answer questions• Answers will typically be 1-2 sentences long
• Will it be hard?• The content will not be difficult• Last year, people found it to be long

Sample Question• In the land of Deonandia, 14% of citizens have
tested positive for HIV, of which 7% have full blown AIDS. A further 21% of the total population suffer from clinical depression.
– (a) If you were the Minister of Health faced with only these statistics, which disease would you think constitutes the more serious problem, and why?
– (b) What further information, if any, would you require to more confidently answer (a)?
