Alabama Mosaic uses ContentDM from OCLC

This software allows a contributor to store and manage digital files, create metadata to facilitate retrieval, and supports user searching.

Alabama Mosaic also includes a search engine that searches other locally installed ContentDM sites and presents an integrated set of results from central server and all of the connected ContentDM servers.

• Alabama Mosaic STRONGLY recommends that repositories with professional staff adopt the highest level of cataloging standards for their digital collections.

• Smaller repositories may not have professional staff and may operate with only volunteers. Minimal level entries are accepted.
