DirectionsColor and cut out each puzzle piece and assemble the puzzle according to the numbers on each piece. Color piece 1 a light color and piece 2 a dark color to show that God made light and darkness. The completed puzzle will form a circle. Use the puzzle to tell about what God made on days 1 through 4 of creation (each row equals 1 day).

Genesis 1—God Makes the Animals

Animal Mobile

Supplies copies of the Animal Mobile (preferably on white

card stock) for each childcrayons or markers scissors hole punch varying lengths of yarn (5 per student, any color)

DirectionsColor the word strip and the three mobile pieces that show animal pictures. On the fourth mobile piece, draw and color your favorite animal. Cut out all of the mobile pieces. Punch fi ve holes in the word strip where the small circles are shown. Punch one hole at the top of each of the mobile pieces. Using varying lengths of yarn, tie each mobile piece to the word strip. Tie the fi fth piece of yarn to the top center hole of the word strip and loop it at the top so the mobile can be hung. Use the mobile to tell about what God made on days 5 and 6 of creation.

God Makes People Story Strips

DirectionsCut out the six story strips and attach each one to the bottom of a separate sheet of card stock or con-struction paper. Draw a picture above each strip. For example, for the fi rst strip draw and color what you like to use your eyes for (looking at a part of God’s creation, reading, etc.). Assemble the pages to make a book. Color the God Makes People coloring picture and attach it to a sheet of card stock or construction paper (any color) to make a book cover. Punch three holes along the left side of all seven pages. Tie the book together using yarn. Use this book to tell about how God made each person special.

Floating Ark Puppet

Supplies copies of the Floating Ark

Puppet for each childblue construction papercrayons or markers scissors craft sticks (2 per child)glue

DirectionsColor and cut out the ark puppet. Fold the ark puppet in half along the dotted line and glue a craft stick to the bottom of the ark puppet between the two halves. Glue the two halves of the ark together. Cut a piece of blue construction paper to look like waves and attach it to a craft stick. Hold the water in front of the ark as you retell the story (see the example).

Genesis 8, 9—God Keeps His Promise to Noah

Rainbow Peel-a-Picture

DirectionsCut around the outside edge of the word strips rectangle (do not cut along the dotted line or the dividing lines between strips). Color the back of the rectangle (the blank side) using various rainbow colors. Cut along the dividing lines between each strip being careful to stop cutting at the dot-ted line. Color the God Keeps His Promise to Noah coloring picture. Apply glue to the right side of the word strips rectangle between the dotted line and the edge only (do not apply any glue to the word strips themselves). Turn the rectangle over and attach the word strips over the coloring page picture area (word side down) by pressing down along the glued side.Peel back each strip in order to reveal the picture underneath. As you peel back each strip, read and tell that part of the story.

Noah obeyed God.

God promised to keep Noah’s family safe.

God kept His promise to Noah.

Noah worshiped God.

We can obey God even when it’s hard.

We can worship God.

DirectionsColor the pack and four story scenes. Cut out the story scenes along the outside border only (do not cut out each individual scene). Cut out the pack around the outside edge. Cut two slits, one on either side of the center square in the pack. Slide the scene strips through the two slits in the picture pack as shown in the example as you retell the story of Abraham traveling to his new home.
