What is the phase of the Moon Today? http://aa.usno.navy.mil/idltemp/current_moon.php
TERMS & FACTS
What do we mean by the phase of the moon? The changing shape of the bright part of the Moon that we see. What causes the different phases of the Moon? As the Moon makes its way around the Earth, we see the bright parts of the Moon's surface at different angles. How long does it take the moon to complete one orbit around the earth? The moon goes around the Earth in a Lunar Moon or 29.5 days. The Moon can sometimes be seen in the daytime and sometimes in the night time AND each phase last for about two days.
THE MOON IS BETWEEN THE SUN
AND THE EARTH.
WE SEE THE SIDE WHICH IS NOT
LIT, SO THE MOON APPEARS
DARK TO US.
TIME: 6:00 A.M.-6P.M.
HIGHEST : NOON (BUT WE
CANNOT SEE IT!)

Waxing Phases
Quarter moonSometimes its called Half Moon
because only half of the moon's surface is visible from
Earth
2. First quarter-NightYou can tell when the moon is fi rst quarter because the sun-lit side
