6.6 LCD
Q: There is slim blue light around the edge of my phone screen. Is it a liquid crystal display
(LCD) flaw?
A: It is not a phone flaw or LCD/touch panel (TP) flaw. Huawei Mate TP adopts the super
thin GFF. The film forms a slope between the LCD and the spray coating of the TP. The light
reflection angle of the slope is different from that of the LCD, so you can see slim blue
reflected light. This phenomenon depends on the TP creation techniques and is not caused by
material problems or installation faults.
Q: When my LCD displays white, there is bright light at the top and bottom of the screen. Is it
an LCD flaw?
A: The backlights locate at the top and bottom of the LCD, so when you see the LCD from
the side you can see bright light at the top and bottom only when the LCD displays white.
This is a normal situation.

Q: When my LCD displays white, some parts are bright while some parts are dark. Is it an
LCD flaw?
A: There are multiple backlights. The part close to the backlight is bright while the part far
from the backlight is dark. When normal pictures are displayed on the LCD, the bright and
dark differences are not obvious. This is a normal situation.
Q: When my LCD displays white and I observe the screen carefully, I can see stripes. Is it an
LCD flaw?
A: LCD backlight cannot be perfectly even-distributed, so stripes may be displayed. A
Huawei Mate smartphone is completely checked based on the quality standard before being
delivered. When normal pictures are displayed on the LCD, no stripe will be displayed. This
is a normal situation.
Q: My LCD is yellowish or bluish. How do I solve this problem?
A: Different people like different color temperature. On Huawei Mate, you can touch
Settings > Display > Color temperature to adjust the color temperature.
6.7 SIM Card
Q: The SIM card on my phone cannot be recognized and communication failures occur. Why?
How do I solve these problems?
A: Many users cut the SIM card by themselves, so the edge of the SIM card chip may expose.
As result, the SIM card is easy to be interfered or damaged. You are advised to use the
standard SIM card for Huawei Mate, which is provided by business halls of each carrier.
6.8 Charging
Q: Why does my phone take a long time to be charged?
A: Huawei Mate uses the buttery with a large capacity of 4050 mA. If a small load charger or
USB cable is used to charge Huawei Mate, the charging current is low so the charging
duration is long. You are advised to use the 5 V/2 A charger delivered with Huawei Mate.
With the 5 V/2 A charger, the power volume of your phone can be charged from 2% to
100% within 3 hours.
Q: Why my phone restarts repeatedly when I powered my phone in charging?
A: When the power volume of your phone is too low, a small load charger cannot provide
sufficient current to power on your phone. In this case, your phone may restarts repeatedly.
You are advised to use the 5 V/2 A charger delivered with Huawei Mate.
6.9 Common Software
If QQ and Sina Microblogging preinstalled on Huawei Mate are normal, you can use these

6.19 High Temperature, Performance, and Power
Consumption
Q: Why my phone's temperature is high when I play games or watch videos?
A: It is common that intelligent phones consume high power, causing high temperature.
Huawei Mate supports 1280x720 HD and high hardware configurations such as four-core 1.5
GHz CPU, which brings good user experience but leading to high power consumption. In
some scenarios, especially in overlap scenarios such as you play videos or games when the
phone is being charged, the phone consumes higher power, and the phone's temperature is
high.
Huawei Mate has a temperature acceleration protection solution, preventing security risks.

Internet, play games, or watch videos when the phone is being charged.
Q: Why do errors occur in game pictures? Why is my phone's performance low and why does
service interruption occur?
A: Huawei Mate supports 1280x720 HD. Some games are incompletely compatible with the

For errors of 3D game pictures, follow Huawei Pollen forum or other Android forums. You
can download texture packs for 3D games from these forums.
