Cleaning Process

• For Unlined Ductwork▫ Cut access holes approximately every 20 feet to maintain

sufficient negative pressure.▫ Utilize an agitation device to push the debris towards a HEPA

Filtered Negative Machine (Collection Device).▫ Clean all inline terminal boxes.▫ In conjunction with use of the agitation device contact vacuum

with a high-powered HEPA-Vacuum.▫ Wash all diffusers and grilles.

Cleaning Process

• Air Handler Units▫ Coils will be contact vacuumed▫ Coil cleaner will be applied▫ Coils will be rinsed and flushed Repeat as necessary

▫ HEPA Vacuum and hand-wipe with biodegradable degreaser all components of AHU.

Cleaning Process

• For internally lined ductwork.▫ Take steps to ensure the insulation is not

damaged.▫ Use of agitation devices rare for fear of damaging

insulation – primarily contact vacuum.▫ After through cleaning apply EPA Registered

encapsulate to rebind insulation.

Cleaning Process

• Additional Steps for fire restoration projects.▫ After through cleaning apply “Unsoot #1” sealant

to unlined ductwork for any residual soot remaining.

▫ For lined ductwork also apply ▫ Fiberlock IAQ 8500.
