Girls are included in her movie favorites, and teach-ers Mrs. Mason, Ms. Wold and Mrs. Sosa.

She admires her mom because she’s been througha lot and she stays strong. As for changes in highschool she has nothing to regret or change. James most admires his Grandpa Jim becauseof all he went through and all he has taught him.James says that playing sports in high school im-pacted him most due to the leadership he wastaught. Some of James’ favorite things include thesong On My Way, the movie Real Steel, and Mrs.Crawford. James loves going to IHOP because thefood is “so awesome!” In the future, James plansto attend and graduate from college and eventuallyhave a house and family.

Jesus M. RenteriaJesus Renteria was born July 14, 1993 in John-

son to proud parents Luis and Ofelia Renteria. Jesse,as his classmates know him, likes the book Crank,enjoys listening to country and rap and his favoritesong is Kick ‘n up Mud by The Lacs. He also enjoyswatching Blood In Blood Out and Mr. Waters is hisfavorite teacher. Someday Jesse would like to visitTransylvania to see Dracula’s Castle.

Jesse admires his father because be alwayspushes him to do more. Fond memories of highschool are all the funny moments with friends. Heregrets not being more involved in school. The lossof his cousin had the greatest impact on Jesse. Plansfor the future include attending college and one dayopening up a shop.

Alonso AguilarAlonso Aguilar is the son of Jose and Maria

Aguilar; he was born in Mexico October 4, 1993.His plans for next year include going to college andgetting a good job. Alonso’s future plans consist ofopening his own business. One place he would liketo visit is India, because he wants to taste their dif-ferent types of foods. Something Alonso remembersmost about school is how tired he would be every-day, and if he could change something about hishigh school career it would be to get better grades.

The people that Alonso admires most are his par-ents, because they have always been there for him.His favorite book is Lord of the Flies, song andmusic is everything but country, favorite types ofmovies are action, comedy and drama, and his fa-vorite teacher is Coach O’Loughlin.

Jonathan Ross SullivanNineteen year old, Jonathan Ross Sullivan was

born to Kenny Sullivan and Kathy Keith December

13, 1993 in Liberal. Many will remember Ross as

being “Ross,” his own person. For Ross he must

have had some dynamic recesses because they were

his favorite memory. He does reflect, as many have,

that he should have tried harder in high school. His

biggest impact in school was during his sophomore

year when he crashed a 4-wheeler and knew he

would have died if he hadn’t been wearing a hel-

met.

Ross admires his mom because she is so strong.

His favorites include the book Bleachers by John

Grisham, the song Colder Weather by Zac Brown

Band, R&B, rap and country music, The Dark

Knight and teachers Mrs. Waters and Mrs. Craw-

ford. Future plans include attending Seward County

Community College.

Agustin AnguloAgustin Angulo is the son of Sofia Duran and

Saul Angulo. He was born in Phoenix, Az. February

5, 1993. His plans for next year are to move back

home to Phoenix and in the future go to college. He

would also like to visit Hawaii, because he wants to

play on the beach. Agustin enjoys listening to Stunt

Hard by Drake, hip-hop and rap music, watching

Grown Ups, and his favorite teacher is Coach Ro-

driguez.

What he will remember most about high school

is all of his friends, and if he could change anything

about his high school career it would be not having

as many absences. The greatest impact on Agustin’s

life in high school would be becoming a father. The

person he admires most would be his mom, because

she has always been there for him.

Sharon Ivette GonzalezNHS, top 10% of class

Sharon Ivette Gonzalez is the daughter of Alberto

and Victoria Gonzalez. Sharon was born June 10,

1993 in Mexico City, Mexico. Some of Sharon’s

favorites include the book The Boy in The Moon,

the song Solo Por Un Beso (Just For A Kiss), the

movie Courageous, and Mrs. Hernandez. She ad-

mires her parents because “they work hard for me

and my brother”. She regrets not taking more col-

lege classes while in high school.

The biggest impact in high school was becom-

ing a state officer for FBLA – Future Business Lead-

ers of America. The LMD – Latinos Make a

Difference and FBLA trips will always bring fond

memories to Sharon. If she could visit any place

she would like to go to New York City because it is

the city of fashion. Her plans for the future include

attending Seward County Community College then

moving on to K-State to graduate with a marketing

degree.

Oaxaca, Mexico October 3, 1992. Future plans fornext year and in the future are to work. The placehe would like to visit most is his birth town Oaxaca,Mexico. Some of Randy’s favorite things are read-ing the book New Moon, listening to Remix Bass

and all types of genres, watching New Moon, Kocu,and Dragon Ball Z. His favorite teachers are Mrs.Hagenah and Miss Trujillo.

Things he remembers most about high schoolare working with his teachers learning English,lunch line, enjoying physical education, and playingbaseball with his friends. He wouldn’t change onething about his high school career. The personRandy admires most is his mother, because sheraised him by herself. He also admires his sister be-cause she is caring for him now. The most reward-ing challenge in his life in high school would belearning English because it was difficult to learn.School was difficult and Randy would like to thankall of his teachers for helping him. He will neverforget them and his friends.

Aldo Jovanny CastañedaAldo Jovanny Castañeda was born in Juarez Chi-

huahua, Mexico June 14, 1994 to Tomas Castañedaand Maria Macias. Aldo admires his dad for teach-ing him to work hard and be strong. His friends andactivity trips are happy memories for Aldo but hewishes he would have gotten involved in more ac-tivities. He realizes socializing had a great impacton him and taught him to have fun.

Austin Doyle NightingaleBorn in Geneva, Ne. June 28, 1993, Austin

Doyle Nightingale came to bless Kendrick Nightin-

gale and Jonie Brockett. Austin says he probably

needed to work harder in high school and remem-

bers Mr. Moore’s seminar the most. He admires his

father the most because even if he is down he still

has something good to say. Favorites of Austin’s

include teachers Mr. Gloden and Mr. Moore, the

movie Sandlot, rap and hip hop music, the song

When I’m Gone by Eminem and the book The

Berlin Boxing Club.

Austin’s plan for next year is to work or join the

Marines and eventually he will get married and

have kids.

Marina Lynnae MeyersBorn February 4, 1993 in Liberal, Marina Mey-

ers is the daughter of Matthew and Daisy Holley.

Her favorites include the book Wuthering Heights,

the song The Trouble with Girls by Scotty McCreery,

any country music, the movie 21 Jump Street, and

teacher Mrs. Sosa. She admires her friend Kassiddy

Littlefield because “she looks like me”! Her biggest

impact in high school was Mr. Gloden’s “inspira-

tional words of wisdom”. If she could have do overs

she would play more sports and take more classes

that would help her in the future. She will always

remember all the funny comments Mr. Waters would

make about the people that were absent in seminar.

Plans for Marina include going to Seward County

Community College and going on to become an

early elementary school teacher. Someday she

would like to visit Hawaii because Kassiddy had a

dream about it and it was awesome!

Diana Don JuanWhere Are the Children by Mary Higgins Clark,

Lovumba, all kinds of music, the movie Courageous

and teachers Mrs. Leininger and Mrs. Rome are just

a few of Diana Don Juan’s favorites. Given the op-

portunity she would visit Rio De Janero, Brazil be-

cause it is a beautiful place.

Diana Don Juan was born to Trinidad and Mag-

dalena Don Juan January 24, 1993 in Liberal. Her

parents have been an important part of her life and

she admires them for being successful and accom-

plishing everything they put their minds to.

Memories of the LMD trips with friends, Mrs.

Henne and Mrs. Hernandez will always be signifi-

cant to Diana. Many of the trips were fun but very

educational. If she had it to do over Diana would

be more involved in school. Her plans for the future

include getting her CNA and obtaining her nursing

degree.

Luis Benito CarrilloSenior Beni Carrillo is ready to “seize the day!”

Successfully accomplishing his goal he set for him-

self, he feels his “mission accomplished”!

Luis Benito Carrillo was born July 3, 1993 in Ti-

juana, Baja California Mexico to Benito and Con-

cepcion Carrillo. The person Beni admires most is

his father, who taught him right from wrong and has

always been there for him in good times and bad.

Having good times with friends and meeting new

people were highlights of Beni’s high school years.

His greatest impact was exceeding expectations of

what others felt he could do. After graduation he

plans to attend college and pursue a degree in com-

puter technology.

July 25, 1994 to Holly Gallentine and Kevin Soder-lund. Dallas admires her mom because she taughther no matter where life takes you family is one stepbehind. Krista Sharon SalleeGene and Cari Sallee were blessed with the birth

of their daughter Krista Sharon September 5, 1993at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. GrandmaSharon is the person Krista admires most, as Sharonis an inspiration to everyone who knows her becauseof her kindness and compassion.

If Krista could change anything about high schoolit would be the loss of so many friends throughoutthose years. She remembers school trips and meet-ing new people from different places most and statesthe greatest impact was losing her parents’ trust andhaving to gain it back.

Dominguez and Mario Garcia. She was born August30, 1993 in Burlington, Co. Lisa and her familymoved to Hugoton in 2011 shortly after her senioryear began. Moving to a new school was hard butLisa realized through the move that she had manygreat things and she should always appreciate them.Becoming best friends with Nallely Dominguez andChrisandra Rodriguez her sophomore year hasbrought many memories for her but having herfriend Joshua Oaks Churchwell murdered impactedher high school career a lot.

Memories of high school for Sherelle are Mr. Glo-den making at least ten jokes a day and her fresh-men year of softball when the team won league.She wouldn’t change anything about high schoolbecause she says everything happened to make herwho she is.

Hand, and the book White Fang. She would like tovisit Alaska so she can see its landscape.

Sherelle’s plans for the future are to attend Se-ward County Community College, get married,have kids, and be a business manager.

and Victor Garcia was born October 23, 1993 inDenver, Co. For Jennifer high school holds mem-ories of making Miss Trujillo mad, her favoriteteacher Mr. Waters, learning about herself, and get-ting to know new friends. Plans for her future in-clude attending K-State as she pursues a nursingdegree.

Hannah Rachel McLeodSamuel and Susan McLeod welcomed a beauti-

ful fair haired little girl into this world November

21, 1993. For Hannah the biggest impact in her

high school career was moving to Hugoton her

senior year from the rainy, traffic-packed city of

Seattle, Wa. Although it was different Hannah ad-

justed well. She remembers most playing soccer in

Seattle, moving to Hugoton, getting a job, and mak-

ing many great friends.

A good read for Hannah would be Nicholas

Sparks’ The Last Song and she tells us Mrs. Sosa is

her favorite teacher and one who impacted her life.

Someday she would like to venture the vast outback

of Australia but for next year she will settle with at-

tending a community college to attain her nursing

degree.

Zachary Todd KileyMarch 8, 1994, Zachary Kiley was born in Lib-

eral to Larry and Karen Kiley. Zach’s favorites in-

clude the song Life Isn’t Easy by Mac Miller, the

book The Four Blind Mice, and the movie

Hangover 2.

Zach would like to visit Britain so he can hear

their accents. He most admires his dad, because he

has been a great example of the person he wants to

be. Memories for Zach include all of the hard times

Mrs. Crawford gave him in Chemistry and College

Biology. Next year he plans to attend Wichita State

University as an accounting major. In the future, he

would like to get his CPA and work for a company

in Wichita. Zachary J. RaganZachary J. Ragan is the son of Wendy King and

Terry Ragan. He tells us that if he could change high

school he would allow free time to do whatever. His

best memories of school were seeing friends and

laughing in class. He admires his mom the most be-

cause she got him through high school. Favorites of

Zach include rap and hip hop music, the song Get-

ting Paid and Mrs. Beltz.

Zach would like to visit anywhere but Hugoton.

Plans for the future include work and finishing col-

lege. After college he will work and live anywhere

but Kansas!

Luis Daniel ErivesLuis Daniel Erives was born November 29,

1993 in Liberal to Miguel and Irma Erives. He ad-mires his parents because they have always beenby his side through everything. His greatest mem-ories are the bus rides to all the football and bas-ketball games. If he could change anything hewould have taken his classes more seriously andplayed football all four years. Losing AntonioRomo the summer of his senior year was thebiggest impact on him. It made him realize thatyou really never know when your last day is goingto be.

Favorites of Luis are the book Heaven is for

Real; the song Anything and Everything by LilWayne; rap and hip hop music; the movie Warrior;and teacher Mrs. Crawford. He plans to attend Se-ward County Community College to become anelectrical engineer.

Fantasia Cerina EastonAbe Easton and Doreen Easton welcomed a pre-

cious baby girl, Fantasia Cerina, June 11, 1993 atCouncil Grove. Tasia admires her step mom Sherrythe most because “she became my mother when shedid not have to!” Memories that will stay with Tasiaare the bus rides with teammates. She wouldn’tchange anything about high school but says being apart of the girls who played sports impacted her lifethe most - they are great people.

Some of Tasia’s favorites include the bookWrecked, song Pocketful of Sunshine, any type ofmusic, the movie Beetlejuice, and Coach O. Shewould like to visit California to see family and goto Disney Land. Plans for her future include goingto Oklahoma Panhandle State University for a busi-ness degree and attending massage classes in Guy-mon so hopefully someday she can have her ownmassage business.

Miranda plans to join her sister Mariah at Pitts-burg State to become a teacher and then also acoach. Miranda looks up to her sister Mariah forbeing very strong and credits her for the person shehas become today.

James A. HaleIn Liberal June 28, 1993 James Hale was born

to parents Bruce and Shirley Hale. James creditsjoining the military as his greatest accomplishmentin life thus far. More than anything James remem-bers doing homework in school. He most admireshis Uncle Alfred because he was in the military andset such a great example for James.

Some of his favorites are the book Through My

Eyes by Tim Tebow, the movie Clash of the Titans,and rock music. James would love to visit the Ba-hamas and see the sights. His only regret of highschool is that he did not get better grades. Upongraduation James plans to go to college and servehis military time.

Darin and Michelle Heger welcomed a fun lovingbaby boy July 3, 1993 in Liberal. Laton Kyle has alot of special memories of high school – prom, bas-ketball, hanging out with friends to name a few. Hesays he would have liked to have been more outgo-ing as a freshman and attributes being a part of theCross Country team as being the greatest impact inhis high school career. Laton was a member of bothCross Country teams that qualified for State andplaced.

His Papa, Larry Brady, is the person he admiresthe most for his humor and work ethic. Her plansfor next year are to attend Platter College in Tulsa,Ok., to get her RN degree and hopefully work in abig city.

Cynthia Denise TorresEighteen years ago in the big city of Dallas, Tx.,

Raul and Lorena Torres were blessed with a beau-tiful baby girl, Cynthia Denise. Now 18 years latershe is graduating from high school with plans to at-tend K-State University.

During high school Denise’s parents were al-ways the people she admired – “they worked their‘butts’ off just to get me where I am”. As she looksback, she remembers spirit weeks the most and re-grets not trying harder in high school. She feelsthat having our first Black president impacted herlife.

Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Rosalva Gon-zalez and Alfredo Cantu. Alondra’s greatest impactin high school was going to KAMS for the last twoyears of high school at Fort Hays State University.She states this opportunity changed her life com-pletely.

Alondra has many persons she admires - hermom, sister Brenda, Ron Keller and her grandpar-ents. Favorites of hers are the book Death Angel,songs too numerous to list, music—anything shecan dance to, movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, andteachers Joel and Shawna, her art instructors at FortHays State. She says her high school memories areof going to Sonic every day after school with thegirls and paying with coins.

Plans for Alondra’s future include working on atriple major of nursing, studio art and Spanish atFort Hays State University, obtaining her Bachelorsdegree, graduate school and then medical school.

Melissa AvilaGloria and Salvador Avila welcomed their

daughter Melissa into this world January 11, 1993at Johnson. Melissa states the greatest impact inhigh school was meeting her boyfriend Jose San-doval. She regrets missing so much school andwould do things differently if she could. Herbiggest memory was arguing with Mrs. Delgadoabout staying after school every day. She admiresher mom the most because “. . .she deals with meeveryday”.

Favorites of Melissa include the book I Only Didit Because I Was Scared, the songs Young Wild andFree and Intentalo, rap, Mexican Corridos, tribalmusic, and movies Harold and Kumar, Scary Movie4, and A Day Without Mexicans. Her favorite teach-ers were Mr. Rodriguez and Para Sonia Delgado.

Plans for the future include going to college, get-ting a degree and starting a cute family.

Kevin Eugene OmoKenny and Sue Omo are the proud parents of

Kevin Eugene born July 21, 1993 in Liberal. Nextfall Kevin plans to attend Northwest Kansas Tech-nical College and later manage his own automotivebusiness.

Kevin’s favorite book is Stetson and also enjoyslistening to anything Mac Miller has to offer. Be-cause he couldn’t choose just one, Kevin’s favoriteteachers are Mrs. Sosa, Coach Rod, Ms. Skinner,and Mrs. Crawford. If Kevin had to pick a movieto watch again and again he would pick Fast andFurious.

Stetson believes being a senior is the eventwhich has had the greatest impact on his life be-cause it has made him more outgoing and has al-lowed him to make friends he otherwise might nothave made. parents of Arenis Nunez born in Levelland, Tx.,March 8, 1994. Arenis says the place she would liketo visit most is the world – who wouldn’t want totravel the world to see the beauty of it? Arenis ad-mires her parents because they have taught her towork hard and they love her. High school memoriesfor Arenis are from the Spanish class trip to San An-tonio, Tx. her freshman year. She also praises class-mate Colten Lissolo because he was State champ inwrestling his junior year. If she could change some-thing about high school she would study more fortests her sophomore year.

welcomed their new son Raúl. Raúl was born inOdessa, Tx. His future plans are to attend KansasState University and eventually find Big Foot.

His favorite book is The Hunger Games, stating,“I haven’t read it, but the movie was great!!” Raúlenjoys listening to The Motto, watching Armaged-

don, and taking notes from Coach Rod. He wouldlike to visit Midland, Tx., to see his family. Hismom is the person he most admires because she isalways right - “no matter what.” He wishes he hadtaken freshman year more seriously, but his sopho-more year football season was the most memorablepart of high school for him. Losing a good friendin Antonio Romo, Jr. made a huge impact on Raul’slife.

Obed J. JuarezObed Juarez is the son of Jose and Maria Juarez.

Obed says if he could change anything about highschool he would allow open lunch again. Seminarmade a big impact on Obed providing him with lotsof memories. He admires his dad because he’s al-ways been there for him through everything. October 23, 1993 a precious baby girl, Kassiddy,blessed the lives of Mick and Christy Littlefield.

The biggest impact of her high school years is“hopefully graduation,” states Kassiddy. Her mem-ories of school are her friends and if she couldchange anything it would have been moving aroundso much. Kassiddy’s favorites include all kinds ofmusic, but her favorite song is White Trash Beautiful

by Everlast. The place she would like to visit isHawaii because she had a dream she lived there andit was “awesome!”

Briel Kaye MillsBriel Mills was born December 19, 1993 in

Liberal to Steve and Tammi Mills. Favorites for thisnineteen year old senior are the books Heaven Is

For Real, the song Let Me Ease Yo Mind by Boosie,she loves rap music, the movie Friday, and Mrs.Rawlings.

When asked a place she would like to visit, Brielstates Heaven because she would love to see herfamily and friends there – may they rest in peace.Her Nana warrants admiration from Briel becauseshe has taught her many things that will help herlater in life. As for high school, Briel tells us shewouldn’t change a thing; she had a great time andmade good memories being crazy with friends.

Breanna Linn MunnBreanna would like to thank the Hugoton Class

of 2012 for letting her join their class and giving her

a chance. Transferring from Rolla her senior year

was the greatest impact on her life but it worked!

Breanna, the daughter of Robert and Tamara

Munn was born June 10, 1993 in Liberal. Breanna

admires her mom because she has always been there

and her love is forever. She wouldn’t change any-

thing about high school because it is the time to

make mistakes and learn from them. Her memories

include hanging out with her friends and getting

pushed to do her best. Some of her favorites are the

book School For Dangerous Girls, country and hip

hop music, the song Young, Wild and Free, and her

Pre-K teacher Mrs. Conklin.

A shop-till-you-drop girl, Breanna would like to

go to Canada to shop, of course, at the mall. Plans

for her future include attending college, having fun

while she is young, starting a career, having a family

and being happy.

Isidro Francisco MoraIf he had it to do over, Isidro would work harder

in class. He credits sports for changing his life com-

pletely and making him a better person and the pass-

ing of two of his uncles during high school impacted

him the most.

Ismael and Gabriela Figueroa welcomed a bounc-

ing baby boy, Isidro Francisco, into this world

January 18, 1994 in Sinoloa, Mexico. Isidro admires

his mother as someone he can talk to about anything

and she gives the best advice.

Some of Isidro’s likes are The Motto by Drake,

Hip Hop and R&B music, the movie Boyz N The

Hood, and Coach Rod. After high school his plans

include finishing college, work and raising a family.

If the chance would happen to come along he would

go to Europe just because it seems like it could be

fun.

Logan Scott LivengoodNHS, Top 10% of class

June 16, 1993 brought tears of joy as parents Jeff

and Laura Livengood welcomed their bundle of

joy, Logan Scott, into the world.

Logan’s favorites include Boys of Fall by Kenny

Chesney, the movie Radio, country and hip hop

music, and teachers Mr. Waters and Mr. Rome.

Memories of high school include always having

to get good grades, getting to football and wrestling

practice on time and wearing his football jersey to

school for game-day Fridays. If he could change

anything about high school it would be the way he

treated his parents through the tough times.

The people he admires the most are his parents

who have been there for him in everything. His

greatest accomplishment was qualifying for State

his junior and senior years in wrestling. Plans for

his future include attending and graduating from

Hutchinson Community College then transferring

to K-State.

Kelli plans to attend Dodge City CommunityCollege, graduate, move to Arizona, open her ownbusiness, get married and have two children. If shecould visit any place she would go to Rome to seeall the beautiful art and historical architecture.

Juan Gonzalez August 20, 1994 in Johnson. Shesays the greatest impact on her life was entering highschool because it changed a lot of things and taughther a ton, too. Her memories are of those funny mo-ments with all her friends. She admires her parentsbecause they have never let her down.

rior, and teachers Mr. Mahan and Mrs. Crawford.Colten would like to visit Hawaii because of the

beach and warm weather. He admires his mom be-cause she is such a strong woman with a big heart.Although he would like to have achieved a 4.0, win-ning State in wrestling was his biggest accomplish-ment of high school.

Next fall Colten will be playing football for theHutch Blue Dragons and hopes to become rich andfamous in the near future.

Riece is the son of Richard and Dana Clinesmith,and was born November 9, 1993 in Liberal. A placehe would like to visit is Florida, because he wants togo to the beach and get a tan. One person Riece mostadmires was his grandpa Robert, because he alwaysmade sure his grandkids knew he loved them. Somethings Riece enjoys most are Guys Like Me by EricChurch and country is his favorite type of music. Hisfavorite movie is Beer for My Horses and his favoriteteacher was Mrs. Beadles.

Among the things Riece remembers most abouthigh school was sneaking out for lunch, and if hecould change something about high school it wouldbe to get better grades in all his classes. Mr. Gloden’squote “Thinkers make it farther than non-thinkers,”made the biggest impact in his life.

to Bob Moss and Terri Wilson. Taylor’s fondestmemory is doing homework ten minutes beforeclass and spending time with friends. She wouldn’tchange a thing about her time at HHS. Somethingthat impacted her most in life was finding out thedifference between real and fake friends.
