Sūrat al-Nās (Humans)

الواسسورة Súrah – 114

No of Ayat – 6

Merits of Sūrat al-Nās

This is a „Meccan‟ sūrah.

The surah that opens with the mention of God as the Lord

of Humans and teaches one to seek refuge in Him from the

whisperings of Satan and those of evil jinn and people. It

takes its name from the word “people” or “mankind” (al-

nās) which recurs throughout the surah. This is another

surah commonly used as an invocation against evil.

Surah an-Naas and al-Falaq are together called

Ma‟udhatayn.

Imam Ja‟far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that whoever recites

this surah in his house every night, will be kept safe from

Jinnaat and the evil designs of Shaitan.

If this surah is put around the neck of a child as a

talisman, the child will be protected from Jinnat. Reciting

the Ma’udhatayn before sleeping is a means of safety and

if recited on any part of the body that is paining, the pain

will be relieved.

ऐ अलऱाह महममद और आऱ महममद पर अपनी सऱामती रख

Sūrat al-Nās

ه ن بسم الل حم حم الر الر

In the Name of Allāh,

the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi

سےهام کےخدا والے رحمجوں دائمیاور عظیم

अलऱाह क नाम स जो बडा कपाऱ और अतयनत दयावान ह।

Sūrat al-Nās

اس ﴿ ﴾١قل اعوذ برب الو

Say, „I seek the protection of the Lord of humans,

qul ˈaʿūḏu bi-rabbi n-nāsi

ہوں چاہجا پواہ کی پروردگار کے اهساهوں میں کہ دیجئے کہہرسول اے

कहो, "म शरण ऱता ह मनषयो क रब की

اس ﴿ ﴾٢ملك الو

Sovereign of humans,

maliki n-nāsi

ہے بادشاہاور مالک کا لوگوںجو ثمام

मनषयो क समराट की

God of humans,

ˈilāhi n-nāsi

ہےمعبود کا اهساهوں سارے

मनषयो क उपासय की

﴾ ٤من شر ال

from the evil of the sneaky tempter

min šarri l-waswāsi l-ḫannāsi

ہے جاثا ہٹ پیچھے کرجو هام خدا سن سےشر کےوسواس شیطاهی

वसवसा डाऱनवाऱ, खिसक जानवाऱ की बराई स

اس ﴿ وسوس في صدور الو ذي ﴾٥ال

who puts temptations into the breasts of humans,

allaḏī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri n-nāsi

ہے کراثا پیدا وسوسے میں دلوں کے لوگوںاور جو

जो मनषयो क सीनो म वसवसा डाऱता ह

Sūrat al-Nās

اس ﴿ ة والو جو ﴾٦من ال

from among the jinn and humans.‟

mina l-ǧinnati wa-n-nāsi

سے میں اهساهوں یا ہو سے میںجوات وہ

जो जजननो म स भी होता ह और मनषयो म स भी
