• A Humming Bird is a small bird. A humming bird is 2-8 in. 5-20 cm. A humming bird has bright,colorful feathers.

Food

• Hover (stay in one place in the air ) over flowers. Hummingbirds use long beaks(hard pointed part of a birds mouth) to drink nectar(a sweet liquid found in many flowers.

Lifecycle- Reproduction

• Female humming birds lay two white eggs babies called chicks,hatch(to break out of a egg)after two weeks the chicks leave the nest

Habitat

• Humming birds live in north and south America. Their nests are cuped shaped and bits of spider web and moss(a soft short plant.)
