Education:

Purdue University, College of Engineering, West Lafayette, IN

Major: Civil Engineering, August 2017- May 2021 | GPA: 3.22/4.0

• Related Coursework: Statics, Dynamics, Hydraulics, Geomatics, Engineering Materials, Structural Mechanics

o I also took the Purdue course, EPICS, and was able to work on a deliverable to a school in Sri Lanka that assists students with cerebral palsy when taking exams.

• Dean’s List: Fall 2017/2018 and Spring 2018 / Awarded Academic All-Big Ten in 2018

Work Experience:

Project Manager Intern ARCO/Murray National Construction | Downers Grove, IL | May 2019- August 2019

• Following their design-build approach, ARCO/Murray allowed me to step into the shoes of a real project manager and take on a ton of responsibility.

• Several tasks I worked on include writing bid instructions/contracts, calling subcontractors, bid analysis, filling out 235 forms and researching permit restrictions, reviewing shop drawings, and more.

• In addition, I had the opportunity to visit job sites, review how the operations section of the company worked, and understand a cost status report for a project.

Project Engineer Intern IEA Renewable Energy | Mount Pulaski, IL | May 2018- August 2018

• I worked with inventory and submitting RFI’s and Submittals. Our offices were in temporary trailers on site and us (interns) could explore and learn from watching the different processes of building a wind turbine farm.

• The majority of what I learned, however, was from the work environment alone. I noticed why communication is key, why having parts in on time is crucial for the critical path, and how being able to develop relationships and work well with all kinds of personalities is important.

Activities and community service:

• Member of the Varsity Women's Soccer team at Purdue, Division I, Big Ten.

• Active board member for CESAC (Civil Engineering Student Advisory Council).

• Volunteer for the Women in Engineering program at Purdue, in the fall we focused our efforts to write postcards to accepted seniors in high school.

• Mentor for the Boiler Student Network – Assigned a freshman from First Year Engineering and then we meet with them once every two weeks (minimum).

• On MLK Day, several teammates and I spent time packing food at a nearby church. This is an annual activity for my team. We also drove to a local club near Indy and played soccer with special needs children.

• Member of Purdue’s Habitat for Humanity and the Marine Biology Club.
