80 years after the invention of the B 25, with the Cynergy, Browning has created yet another revolution in the world of over-and-under shotguns. Years of research and testing have been required for developing this reliable, high-performance, elegant shotgun. Three years after the birth of the Cynergy sport, Browning takes much pride and pleasure in announcing the birth of the Cynergy hunting gun, so that all hunters can benefit from the technology and ballistic performance of a shotgun that is unique.

The low action frame with its integrated hinge gives this incomparable gun exceptional balance and incredible strength. Just to prove it, the Cynergy’s action frame is guaranteed for ten years. Shouldering the Cynergy is a perfect, fluid, rapid movement; comfort when firing is exceptional, you are in line with a weapon that has virtually no recoil, and the muzzle flip between two shots is so low that the second shot is even faster. The Cynergy is also a model of aesthetics, both modern and attractive, a novel design characterised by its smooth flowing lines, a slim silhouette.

The Cynergy’s single trigger action will give a sensation that you have never experienced before; incredibly fast, crisp shooting, in fact the fastest in the world. Thanks to the special firing mechanism on this shotgun - in a class of its own – the time between first and second shots is only 0.0019 seconds, against 0.0031 for our leading competitors. The Cynergy is now available as a hunting gun, in calibre 12 Magnum with a steel or light alloy action frame and in calibre 20 Magnum with a steel action frame. The Cynergy hunting gun’s extremely elegant lines are set off by the quality of its grade 3, oil-finished wood, but also by the hunting scene engravings on its nickel-plated action frame. Here is Browning’s new top-range over-and-under hunting gun. The Heritage is the direct descend-ent of the side-plated B 25 and has inherited all its elegance. The engraving on its action-frame is a creation by Cesare Giovanelli, the Italian master who has trained most of the top engravers today. The stock is made from carefully oil-finished top-quality walnut. With its rounded half-pistol stock and its tulip fore-end, this shotgun pays real homage to the B25, of which it is a worthy cousin. 3 | Hand fitted creating the best there is

Browning’s gunsmiths take their time when making a B525. This is the only shotgun on the market at this price level that is hand fitted during production to such a high standard with this level of attention making each shotgun truly unique.

Traditional red ochre is used to check that the fit between the action and barrels is perfect. This method is the best traditional method to ensure an exact fit between all the wood parts and metal parts is achieved. It literally allows the gunsmith to see inside the gun. And where needed adjustments are made by hand one by one to ensure that the Browning B525 sets the standard for all other shotguns.

Each B525 shotgun comes with a number of different choices in engravings to suit your budget and desires and is dependent on what grade of gun you decide to purchase. These engravings include traditional game scenes such as duck and pheasants in flight to the classical roll & scroll. The engravings become more ornate and elaborate as one progresses from the Classic to our new top of the range Heritage model.

To ensure that every detail on your B525 is completed to the finest quality many engrav-ings are again hand finished.

5 | Safety

Every single B525, like all Browning shotguns, undergoes extremely stringent quality checks which include manual inspections and measurements to actually firing each and every gun to check that the shot patterns meet our exacting standards . This is supported by using computerised analysis to guarantee operation and extreme reliability so when you are out in the field you can be assured that the gun you are using will not let you down.

4 | A choice of wood grades and stock options

Each stock is made using specially selected walnut sourced from renewable forests in Europe and a choice of grades are available from grades 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5.The grade of walnut used on your Browning B525 is dependent on the choice of gun that you decide to purchase. A choice of different stock grips is also available from Pistol grip, Round Pistol grip and a Straight Stock grip. Each stock is traditionally checkered providing additional control whilst shooting. A more than eloquent figure that materialises the undeniable success of Browing’s over-and-under guns and opens the way for the B 525 to enter the very tight circle of legendary guns.

The B 525 is the latest evolution of a legendary gun created by the innovative and genial mind of John Moses Browning in 1925: the B 25, the “last word” in over-end-under guns. It was on the basis of this gun that the B 325, the B 425 and, since 2003, the B525 were created and produced, three arms that have now been manufactured in a million copies, a real record. This figure attests not only to the success of the gun but, above all, to the confidence placed in Browning over-and-under guns – especially the B 525 – by hunters and sports-shooters throughout the whole world. In less than five years, the B525 has become an absolute reference, the perfect representative of Browning’s quality, know-how and tradition. Its reliability, toughness and ease-of-use are legendary thanks to a faultless, much-envied quality of production. Each gun is built with unique care by qualified gunsmiths in our Japanese plant Miroku. Furthermore, for the past thirty years, Miroku has been considered one of the highest-performing production plants in the world. It is a place where care for detail and rigorous manufacturing processes are set up as rules, almost as a way of life. Every B 525 made is assembled in the traditional way using red ochre, the bearing surfaces of the bolt and action-frame are hand-filed and everything is checked and rechecked time and time again, so that neither time nor the thousands of cartridges to be fired will have the slightest effect on the gun.It is at this price that we are able to guarantee Browning 525 action-frames for 10 years and that every gun is at the same time identical to the others, yet unique in itself.

To celebrate the millionth gun produced, Browning is proud to announce the creation in 2009 of a special, limited, numbered series. Better impact and higher velocities for improved shooting accuracy. A “back-bored“ barrel is one whose internal diameter (the bore diameter) has been increased beyond traditional specifications.

2 | A 6% reduction in recoil

A reduction in recoil means improved shooting comfort.

In a back-bored barrel, the load passes more easily reducing the amount of recoil felt by the shooter, thus improving his shooting comfort.

1 | Increased penetration velocity

“Back-bored” ensures that there is less friction between the shot and the wall of the barrel. Instead of having to overcome friction, more of the energy generated by the gun-powder gases serves to propel the cartridge, thus increasing the velocity of the load.

The shot retains its ballistic quality.

The force of the pressure exerted by the barrel wall on the load is reduced, thus reducing the number of deformed pellets fired and increasing velocity.

The Fusion’s piston has an “Active Valve system” regulating valve inside it. CCS 525With the introduction of the CCS 525 in the 525 range, Browning wanted to provide the demanding hunter with a gun that is attractive, while at the same time guaranteeing flawless operation and unequalled accuracy, and that can be easily adjusted to accept the different types of cartridge available on the market.

CCS 525 adjustment wedge system

Exclusive barrel convergence adjustment system: Cannot be unset and can be adapted to differ-ent types of ammunition. Thanks to this system, the double Express CCS525 rifles are originally set to 60m by the Liège Test Bench and the 2 impacts should be within a 5 cm square. The ammunition used is Winchester Partition 12.96 g and 18.53 g for 8x57JRS and 9.3x74R calibres, for the 30R Blaser, it is Blaser CDP 10.7 g ammunition. If you would like to use different ammunition you should adapt your gun using one of the 7 adjusting rings that are supplied with the gun.

System operation:

Whatever the diameter of the adjusting ring mounted at the gun’s muzzle, the barrel convergence angle maintains a natural pressure and therefore a permanent contact between the muzzle of the upper barrel and the barrel spacer wedge.As this wedge is itself silver-brazed on the lower barrel, this ensures during firing that the position of the upper barrel’s muzzle in relation to the lower barrel is constantly maintained.

Browning has reinvented the Express Rifle

The barrels, the essential part of this gun, are both traditional and original. A spacer on the upper barrel ensures the accuracy of the vertical convergence of the barrels, while lateral convergence is ensured by the design of the barrel itself, which incorporates a unique “Cradle“ strip. Once the ammunition has been chosen, a spacer ring is recommended and inserted securely under the foresight on the upper barrel, guaranteeing unequalled accuracy. (*).The weight and balance are perfect for current hunting conditions. The action frame has been strengthened by means of high strength stainless steel inserts. Very special attention has been paid to every detail of this gun: a “hog’s back“ stock with a Bavarian cheek piece, an accentuated tulip-shaped forearm for greater elegance, a fluorescent optical fibre foresight and a traditional battue rib allowing a scope to be mounted by a gunsmith in minimum time. The animal engravings with which it is decorated make this a very attractive and unique rifle.

2 | An precision barrel

A free-floating barrel is essential for utmost accuracy. The X-Bolt is free-floated by bed-ding the front and rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel-to-stock spacing. Another important point, the perfectly designed muzzle crown is slightly recessed to help protect the rifling from damage. Barrels are triple checked for interior finish, straightness and air-gauged for uniformity. All of these points make the X-Bolt an extremely accurate rifle.

3 | Bolt action

• Bolt unlocking in the safety positionThe bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the top-tang safety to provide an added measure of safety. Conveniently located on top of the bolt lever, the bolt unlock button allows the bolt to be unlocked and opened with the safety in the on position. You can therefore safely check and unload your X-Bolt chamber. Finally, the safety blocks the trigger sear and features a firing pin block for added safety.

For precise shooting in the field or off the bench, there’s absolutely no substitute for a good, predictable trigger. The X-Bolt’s new three-lever Feather Trigger™ provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel. The trigger is screw adjust-able from 3 to 5 lb and factory preset at approximately 3½ lb. An alloy trigger housing contains the hard-chromed steel components that are highly polished on all critical contact surfaces. Precise engagement angles give the X-Bolt Feather TriggerTM a lighter trigger pull feel that stays that way throughout its life.

An all-new detachable rotary magazine is perfectly integrated into the X-Bolt design. Constructed from a durable lightweight polymer, the magazine is designed to feed cartridges directly in-line with the bolt for a straight feed into the chamber. The cartridges are therefore chambered faster and easier without damaging the tip as in the case of traditional leaf-spring magazines. An ergonomic magazine-mounted release lets the magazine rotate directly downward and into your hand. This magazine can therefore be easily detached with just one hand, even when wearing gloves in cold weather.

Another important feature, the magazine has shoulders so that ammunition is held perfectly in position when fired to avoid any damage to bullet tips.

4 | Inflex Technology Recoil Pad

A-Bolt Hunter FieldA very European look for this A-Bolt Hunter Field whose essential element is a Monte Carlo stock which gives greater comfort when firing with a scope.

A-Bolt M1000 EclipseThis version is specially designed for long-distance sports shooting. Two major components suit it to this purpose: a heavy barrel offering superior accuracy and a Monte Carlo stock whose ergonomic grip ensures perfectly stable handling.

EuroboltWithout doubt the most versatile rifle on the market. Indeed, the Eurobolt is unique in that it is provided with interchangeable sights. The gun can be easily modified from a stalking rifle (with a rear leaf sight) into a driven game riffle (with a quarter rib). The trigger has a “stetcher“ (set trigger) mechanism, allowing the gun to be fired with a very light trigger pull (hair trigger) for very accurate shots. The Bavarian “hog’s back“ stock is always perfect, both for sighting with open sites and with a scope. Supplied with 2 sights: rearsight + battue rib: to be mounted according to choice.

BLR Light Weight

BLR Light Weight Take DownThe BLR is the only lever-action rifle developed in a magnum calibre. Its mechanics are faultless and characterised by their smoothness of operation, it has a removable magazine, it is ready for fitting a scope and has a top-quality barrel.

This is the traditional version of the BLR. This lever action arm is at home everywhere. On rifle ranges, in the hide or when stalking where its lever loading system is extremely reassuring when you are going through difficult terrain with your gun slung or resting on your shoulder.

The BLR now exists in a Take Down version, i.e. you can dismantle it for easy transport on hunting trips. No tools are required for dismantling, which is a quick, easy operation that in no way affects the accuracy of your gun.

By moving an slide on the front of the receiver and drawing back the breech, the arm is separated into two parts, barrel and fore-end on one side, stock and receiver on the other. Re-assembling is just as easy.
