Clean - up day was

great, thank you to the

56 members that came

out to help. We replaced

drains and walking

bridges on our Sporting

Clay and 3-D Archery

courses that were

creating unsafe condi-

tions.Help is needed in

the following areas,

front desk to assist on

our shoot days. This is not

physically demanding, you

basically sign up shooters

and collect the fees for our

shotgun sports. We also

need more juniors,(12-16

years old) to work four hours

on Saturday mornings to

load clay target machines,

empty garbage cans and

general grounds clean-up

for $8.00 an hour.

Heritage Days is scheduled

for Sunday August 27 we

would like all members to

help on this event that

spotlights and promotes our

Club, shooting activities,

youth programs and special

Youth Shotgun Program:

Thank you to all that attended the Steak Dinner Fund Raiser on June

16th. We very much appreciate your support !

On June 17th our High school Teams, L’Anse Creuse-North and

Anchor Bay participated in their first Michigan School Clay Target

State Shoot. The kids did very well, with many of them shooting

personal best.

Some of the Awards they brought home were:

State Shoot 2nd place– over all ( Team –Anchor Bay shot 478/500

Alex McMullen came in 3rd High Gun Overall (by count back) with a

97/100

2017 All-State Team members ( received a patch)

Quick Note: I forgot one of our newest 50 straight target shooter at

the General Membership meeting in June. Gianni Bordogna ran his

first 50 at Blue Water Sportsman’s Association on June 12th during

the Zone 4 ATA Shoot. Congrats “G”.

As we get ready for the Michigan AIM State Shoot in Mason, MI on

July 1st & 2nd and the AIM Grand National’s in Sparta, Il,

July 28th-August 1st…..keep us in your positive thoughts. The kids

are working hard to be ready.

Our busy season is coming fast

DNR Hunter’s Education Class

The Fall Hunter’s Education Class is scheduled for Wednesday

Sept. 6 (5:30-9:30PM), Thursday Sept. 7 (6:00-9:30pm), and

Saturday Sept. 9 (8:00-5:00pm), 2017.

Fees are $10.00 per student and all three (3) classes must be

attended for certification. Online field day course is available on

Saturday: pre-registration is required. Snacks will be

available on Wed & Thurs and lunch will be provided on

a month to run the front desk.

Tasks include:

Setting up cords and micro-

phones for Trap and Skeet,

Skeet and Sporting Clays and

Archery, filling the Trap and

Skeet house, shutting down

the sporting clays course at

the end of the day, greeting

guests and members as they

enter the club, answering the
