Air Conditioning • Pathway CertificateOffered in the evenings • Start in August, October, January, or MarchThis entry level certificate prepares students with skills necessary for basic air conditioning and cooling services. This certificate prepares students to take the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 608 certification exam for refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclamation. After successful completion, students have the opportunity to apply these credits to the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration and Renewable Technology 1-year technical diploma and the 2-year associate degree. People working in a career with this certificate will be expected to perform limited service and installation on air conditioning systems such as how to perform minor air flow and balancing services, solder, braze, and flare copper piping.

After successful completion, students have the opportunity to apply these credits to the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration and Renewable Technology 1-year technical diploma and the 2-year associate degree. People working in a career with this certificate will be expected to perform limited service and installation on gas heating systems, in addition to performing minor airflow and balancing services.

Oil, Electric and Hydronic Heating • Pathway CertificateOffered in the evenings • Start in August, October, January, or MarchThis entry level certificate prepares students with basic oil and electric heating skills. Students will also focus on basic hydronic skills, which is movement of heat using water. After successful completion, students have the opportunity to apply these credits to the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration and Renewable Technology 1-year technical diploma and the 2-year associate degree. People working in a career with this certificate will be expected to perform limited service and installation on oil, electric, and hydronic heating systems.

Renewable Energy • Embedded Technical DiplomaOffered during the day and evenings • Start in August or JanuaryThis Embedded Technical Diploma prepares students with skills necessary for basic geothermal, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, and wind services. After successful completion, students have the opportunity to apply these credits to the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration and Renewable Technology 1-year technical diploma and the 2-year associate degree.
