HXI was originally founded to provide 60 GHz radio links for the Japanese and American markets. We have been instrumental in securing the FCC allocation of the 60 GHz spectrum in the US, and were the first FCC Part 15.255-certified MMW system operating in the 57 to 64 GHz band.Today, our standard point-to-point radio links include digital radio links at 60 GHz
(V-Band) and 70/80 GHz (E-Band) with a number of configuration options available. We also provide analog links and digital links to custom specifica-tions for specialized applications, offering the flexibility of both fixed and portable systems.
Why 60 GHz? 60 GHz is naturally interference resistant due to its high atmospheric absorption (~16 dB per km) The 5 degree beamwidth antenna further solates the beam from any possible sources in the same frequency realm.
Why 70/80 GHz? Newly allocated Wide Bands – 71GHz to 76GHz – 81GHz to 86GHz Light congestion Light License requirements Good Propagation in clear air; better for long distance links (4 to 8 miles)
