A shared prefunction hallway makes it easy for attendees to move between this ballroom and other venues for topical meetings or sessions.

Leatherstocking Hall Comprising three meeting rooms, two boardrooms and a prefunction area, Leatherstocking Hall is ideal for small and mid-sized events. This handful of rooms, conveniently positioned near both resort ballrooms, lends well to executive meetings, seated and buffet luncheons, as well as break-out sessions for conference attendees.

This fine dining establishment includes a private dining room for 14 and an extensive wine list with bottles and by-the-glass selections.

Firewheel Cafe Named for the bold wildflower that makes Texas its home, Firewheel is an airy and open restaurant that reflects its namesake in both design and flavor. Bright stained glass windows created by Bastrop artist Nancy Beal, walls of glass patio doors and vibrant, handmade chandeliers set the scene for this casual, three-meal-a-day dining spot.

Old Buck's Place Located inside the water park beside the Crooked River, this outdoor grill serves refreshing drinks and tasty fare – making it possible to sate your appetite and quench your thirsts while enjoying sunshine and keeping cool by the pool.

McDade's Emporium and Ice Cream Saloon A visit to McDade’s proves to be a stroll down memory lane. GOLF

Designed by Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates, the 7,205-yard, par-72 Wolfdancer Golf Club was named after the Native American Tonkawa, who hunted and fished along Lower Colorado River long before Texas was a republic. The Tonkawa were sometimes called “wolf people” because they performed ceremonial dances covered in wolf skin, imitating the behavior of wolves by dancing on all fours.

• The award-winning Wolfdancer, whose stunning course layout took its cues from the natural landscape, tests a golfer’s skills across a mix of three distinct terrains: rolling prairie land, heavily wooded ridgeline and river valley dotted with native pecan trees. The dramatic layout is also cut by the Lower Colorado River, which runs alongside the course’s memorable finishing holes.

• With five sets of tees ranging from 7,205 yards for the scratch golfer to 4,953 yards on the forward tees for the novice or beginner, Wolfdancer ultimately provides a tough but fair challenge for players of every level. Thanks to its compelling design and championship-quality conditioning, the course has become a favorite among local Tour players and amateurs alike.

SPA INFORMATION

Spa Django’s name was inspired by the Romany gypsy word django (which translates literally as “I awake”), as well as the legendary Belgium-born guitarist Django Reinhardt, whose captivating gypsy-jazz style heavily influenced the evolution of music in Texas and around the world. Additional inspiration for the name of this spa destination stemmed from the surrounding Lost Pines landscape, the history of gypsy culture of Bastrop and the vibrant music scene of Austin.
