Dear Colleagues,
Lower limb osteotomies are gaining importance in orthopaedic surgery, especially in joint preservation,motivated largely by an increasing occurrence and distribution of osteoarthritis (OA) and other clinical problems. Although the number of osteotomies per year is still low, scientific interest in joint preservingprocedures is rising worldwide due to improvements of planning, surgical technique and implants. Properlyplanned HTO in an ideal individual can prolong the life of natural knee.
The intention is that enthusiastic delegates who engage with the course should take away a greater understanding of the indications, principles and methods of knee osteotomy together with an increasedconfidence in performing these procedures.
We are glad to have Dr Konrad Slynarski, from Poland, an expert in Knee Osteotomy, as our international faculty along with prominent national faculty.

Dr. Konrad Slynarski, MD, PhDPresident of Polish Arthroscopy Society, Chairman of International Joint Preservation CongressWarsaw, Masovian District, Poland
Dr. Konrad Slynarski completed his MD and Ph.D. degrees at The Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, and completed research fellowships at Case Western University in Cleveland, USA, withArnold Caplan on Mesenchymal Stem Cells – based cartilage repair (funded by the Polish-AmericanKosciuszko Foundation). He subsequently completed a knee fellowship with Dr. Rene Verdonk, Belgium. He was a principal investigator in several comprehensive clinical studies. He works on development and improvement of knee joint preservation procedures, including iBalance osteotomyand cell-based therapies for cartilage repair. He organized several symposia and courses in the fieldof cartilage repair, including Warsaw ICRS World Congress in 2007, Polish Arthroscopic SocietyCongresses and Warsaw Joint Preservation Congress in 2013, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Konrad Slynarskiis currently Head of private sports medicine center, LEKMED Warsaw, Poland.
