The Anthraquinone Process for H2O2 Manufacture
General Process Description Hydrogenation-An alkyl anthraquinone is dissolved then
Hydrogen gas is blown and with the aid of palladium the anthraquinone hydrolizes.
Filtration- The solution is filtered to remove the catalyst.
Oxidation – The hydrogenated anthraquinone is blown with air to oxidize it.
Extraction- The solution is forced up a tower where demineralized water is flowed down. When they meet the hydrogen peroxide dissolves in water.
