Healthy Start Vitamins You can now collect your free vitamins from Children and Family Wellbeing Service centres. Healthy Start vitamins contain vitamins A, C and D for your child and folic acid and vitamins C and D for you if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or until your baby is one year old. Drops are for your child if they are aged from six months (unless a health visitor has advised earlier use of vitamins) until they are four years old and mums get tablets. You must be receiving the Healthy Start vouchers that you get with your food vouchers. You will exchange the voucher to get your free vitamins. If you need more information please contact your Midwife, Health Visitor or phone your nearest centre.

Bus Pass Scheme Young people aged 16 – 18 may be entitled to a free bus pass under the bus pass scheme. To be eligible you must be one of the following:

A young carer

A young parent

Not currently in education or employment To book an appointment or for more information, please contact your local Children and Family Wellbeing Service centre. Once a free bus pass has been received, you must attend a 1-1

appointment at one of our centres every 2 weeks to keep using the pass.

SHINE (SEND) – For young people 11 years and under with special educational needs and disabilities. Booking required. SNAP (SEND) –For young people aged 11- 25 years with special educational needs and disabilities. SHINE and SNAP groups provide a safe welcoming environment for young people to work on life skills, improve communication skills, self-confidence & self – esteem in a group based setting. Parents/carers are welcome to attend. One Stop Shop – This is a drop in Baby Clinic with Heath Visitors. Baby Play, Infant Feeding and moving onto solid foods advice. The Sensory Room is accessible during the group. Come along for support and advice about health, play and development and feeding your baby. Specialist breastfeeding support is available. For ages 0 – 5year olds. Voice & Influence / Youth Council – Each district in Lancashire has a youth council, made up of young people aged 12 – 19. It is an opportunity for young people to have a voice and be able to influence decisions made locally and nationally. Regular meetings in districts give young people the opportunity to be involved in projects and campaigns that they identify significant to them and others. Gives them the opportunity to attend monthly meetings at County Hall in Preston equipping them with skills that gives them a voice and influence over decisions that affect them. This will be run once a month – please ring for more details and transport. Street Based Work - This allows our neighbourhood workers to engage with young people within the community in which they live. They will create an environment in which young people can feel comfortable to discuss issues that affect them and evaluate with the young people any future support needs.

Forest Fun – Delivered in partnership with Adventure Hyndburn. If you are a parent/carer with children, Come and join us in the forest at our new get active group! Please wear appropriate clothing for all weathers. (Long sleeves, long pants, appropriate footwear/clothing). For ages 0-5 years. Midwife Clinic – Appointments with your midwife ante and post-natal. Staff from the Neighbourhood Centre will be on hand to give practical advice and support on a range of topics, whilst being able to sign post to support. Impact Group – A group offering support and guidance to help young people manage their emotional and social development. Guidance will be available around stress and anxiety and any other issues young people find themselves struggling with. For ages 7 – 11 year olds that can be left without parents or carers. Booking required. Bump, Birth and Beyond (BBB) – Is an antenatal course run in partnership with Children and Family Wellbeing Service, Midwives & Health Visitors. It supports parents to be through pregnancy and beyond. The programme provides you with relevant information to help you make informal choices about birth, preparation for birth as well as key messages about infant feeding, safer sleep, play, communication and taking care of your new baby. Please contact your local centre when you reach 20 weeks to book. Talking Tots – A targeted group to support and encourage children to develop their speech and language for those where this area may be of concern. Parents will be given support to extend their child's vocabulary by reading lots of stories, singing rhymes and modelling speech. For ages 2-5 year olds.

Big Cook, Little Cook – Enjoy time together with your child, and involve them in the process of making their own food. Learn how to prepare healthy family meals on a budget that you can re-create at home. For ages 2-5 year old's.

Belly Babies – Parents learn the benefits of 'tummy time' with their babies, in which they explore and learn about different sensory areas. This teaches parents the importance of early development, and provides a nurturing space to bond with their baby. For babies aged 0-1 years and their parents / carers. Family Fun – Parents can take part in fun activities with their children, and learn the importance of family interaction. This group focuses on personal, social and emotional development of the child. For children aged 1-3 years and their parents / carers.

Holiday Sessions & Events - During school holidays we run a holiday programme. Please contact us for further details or see our Facebook page for more information.

Triple P – Is a parenting programme, but it doesn’t tell you how to be a parent. It's more like a toolbox of ideas. You choose the strategies you need. You choose the way you want to use them. It's all about making Triple P work for you. The three Ps in "Triple P" stand for "Positive Parenting Programme" which means your family life is going to be much more enjoyable. Currently there are two variations of the programme available to enrol on through CFW. Booking required. Please contact your local centre to find out more, and for details of the support available. Group: For parents of children aged 0 – 12 years. Teen: For parents of teenagers aged 12 – 16 years. Family Transitions: For separated parents of children where the separation and/or conflict is impacting on the child and their behaviour. Freedom Programme – A supportive course for females only to increase their self-confidence, to feel empowered and make positive changes in their lives and relationships. Please contact your local centre for further details. Play and Learn Together - Come along and play with your child/children in a safe environment. Staff available to provide knowledge and guidance around the importance of attachment and promoting positive behaviour. For ages 2 – 5 year olds.

Girls Group – An opportunity to meet and integrate with other girls in a safe welcoming environment. Come along and access fun activities as well as discuss current issues that may be affecting young girls today. Help increase confidence and support health and wellbeing through fun activities, discussions and relevant information. (Aged 13 – 19 up to 25 with SEND). Booking required.
