Preface

Hytera is dedicated to providing an extensive range of accessory solutions that work with the

terminals, mobile, or repeater units. This delivers remarkable customer experience.

To attain this position, we have continually invested, through the R&D process of each

product, substantial work. From the very beginning, a systematic plan is hammered out,

whereby an in-depth analysis on the relationship between the accessory and related devices is

given. This helps to enhance the systems performance by maximizing each device's

functionality. When it comes to testing, all accessories shall undergo a series of rigid tests that

verify the suitability of the device covering form and function. The testing involves

accelerated life tests (ALT), mechanical, temperature, humidity, etc. A final system-wide

interoperability test carried out before delivery.

In the interests of users and correct functionality, only original Hytera products and

accessories must be used with the equipment.

A Battery Care & Tips

Do abide by the following instructions, to obtain optimized performance and a longer service

life from your batteries.

Storage and Maintenance

Proper temperature

The battery must be stored indoors with temperature of 5‒20°C (41‒68°F) and RH less

than 75%. Be sure to keep it far away from acid and heat sources.

Stock rotation on the first-in and first-out basis

Always use the oldest battery first, because long term storage can accelerate battery self-

discharge, leading to deterioration in battery performance.

Regular maintenance

− For Li-ion batteries: recharge every 3 months and maintenance every 6 months;

− For Ni-MH batteries: recharge every month and maintenance every 3 months;

− Recharge method: discharge the battery fully and recharge it for one hour with the

supplied desktop charger.

− Maintenance method: discharge and recharge the battery for 3 cycles and finally

charge the battery again for one hour with the supplied desktop charger.

Instructions for Use Make sure the battery temperature is about 20°C. Charging below 4°C and above 40°C

will decrease cycle life and impair charging efficiency.

Replace or recharge the battery that runs low to avoid excessive discharge.

Do charge the battery with our authorized desktop charger or multi-unit charger.

Overcharge shall always be prohibited for it may shorten the battery life.

It is recommended to charge the battery alone. When charging a battery attached to a

radio, turn the radio off to ensure a full charge.

Do not remove the battery during charging for better charging efficiency and longer life.

Avoid recharging a fully charged battery, or it will reduce the cycle life.

Do not use a metal object to connect the charging piece to avoid short circuit.

Care shall be taken to operate the battery and keep it free of drop and rain intrusion.

Do not operate the battery near a gas station and never dispose of it in fire.

Never dismantle or repair the battery. If necessary, please contact us or our authorized

dealer for technical support.
