Getting started 1 Start the Ioniq

Firmly depress the brake pedal whilst ensuring the key is held closely to the power button. After a few seconds you will hear a beep sound, at that point push the start button whilst continuing to press down on the brake pedal. The dash will then illuminate. Should you not see the dash light up please restart the process.

2 Driving away Whilst keeping your foot firmly on the brake pedal, select either ‘D’ for drive or ‘R’ for reverse. By slowly lifting your foot off the brake pedal the vehicle will begin to move. The parking brake is foot operated, therefore to remove the brake simply press firmly on the left hand pedal (where the clutch is normally located in a manual vehicle). It will then depress towards you when released. To re-apply the parking brake press firmly. You will hear a series of clicks which will confirm that the parking brake is now on.

Important: Please note that the spare tyre is designed for temporary use and is considerably narrower than the standard road tyre. Please contact the Clubhouse for further information if you have a puncture 0345 266 9290.

Folding rear seatingUse the levers on the right and left hand side of the passenger seating to fold them down.

Important: Please remember to revert the seats back to the correct position before ending your reservation.

Avoiding a flat batteryThe front two sun visors have lights, which do not automatically turn off when they are closed. You must ensure that the light has been manually switched off in order to prevent a flat battery.
