• 53-hour weekend full freeway closure and bridge demolition scheduled forthe weekend of September 29 - 30, 2012
• Mulholland Bridge is being reconstructed to support the widening of the I-405 Freeway
• Height and long span of bridge and absence of center support columnrequires full freeway closure
• Full closure of the I-405 freeway is required to protect the public duringbridge demolition
• I-405 closure coordinated through a Unified Command(LAPD, LAFD, CHP, LADOT, Metro, and Caltrans)

Weekend Closures
• Northbound I-405 full freeway closure from I-10 freeway to US 101 freeway
• Southbound I-405 full freeway closure from US 101 freeway to GettyCenter Dr ramps
• Mulholland Bridge closure
• Ramps will be closing as early as 7:00 pm on Friday within the freeway closurelimits
• Lanes will begin to close one at a time starting as early as 10:00 pm on Fridayto allow for a full closure by midnight

• I-405 Freeway will reopen on Monday, October 1, 2012, at 5:00 am
• Ramps and connectors will reopen by 6:00 am on Monday, October 1, 2012
• Mulholland Bridge will reopen with one lane in each direction
• South half of bridge is almost complete
• Traffic will be switched to south half of bridge before demolition of north half. One lane of traffic will be maintainedin each direction on the north half of the bridge.
• North half bridge reconstruction to begin after demo and isanticipated to last approximately 12 months
