Michel le Hassan, Principal

I am honored to serve as your new principal. I grew up in Maywood and for many years, I lived within our school’s attendance boundaries. I graduated from Proviso East High School, and I still reside in our community.

In the late 60’s, many people laid down their lives for us to have the right to a quality education. Every day, I work to continue their legacy.  All children deserve a high quality education.  When we, as adults, parents, staff and the community, work together, we can make a world class education a reality. Our mission is to ensure the well-being of our students academically, emotionally, and socially. It is our responsibility to provide an environment that will prepare students to pursue college and career opportunities through meaningful learning experiences.

I look forward to working with every student, parent, staff member, and the community to makecollege possible for our students.
