2 ______________________________________________________________________ I Care San Antonio

Dear Friends of I Care San Antonio,

Heroes have been defined as “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.” For almost 20 years, I Care San Antonio has been blessed with exceptional heroes dedicated to helping individuals SEE a brighter future. Our doctors are the heroes who help fulfill our mission of bringing quality eye care, medical, surgical and optical, to low income and homeless families in San Antonio and the surrounding counties. Your kindness through prayers, time and finances help our heroes give patients the gift of sight.

In 2012, the I Care SA volunteer doctors donated over $737,583 worth of care — the largest amount in one year since our inception. We are delighted to share with you the details of these accomplishments and the differences they have made in our community.

Other heroes include people like Gloria Sparkman who comes each week to help patients complete their medical intake forms, and Roquita Garcia who volunteers on Saturday mornings to help fit patients for new glasses. Each of these individuals takes time out of their busy schedules to improve the lives of others.

We depend on, and are thankful for, all you do to support I Care San Antonio heroes and the Vision Center at Haven for Hope.

With gratitude,

Libby BentleyExecutive Director

I Care San Antonio (ICSA) , founded in 1992, is a faith-based, medical non-profit organization managed primarily by volunteer doctors. Our mission is to provide vision care - including medical, surgical and optical- to those who cannot afford it.

We accomplish our local mission by caring for San Antonio’s low income and homeless families at the I Care Vision Center at Haven for Hope. In addition, each year we send a team to assist with vision care in an impoverished country.
