world.

• What is in my coin

Collection?

This Massachusetts coin dated 1776 is called the Pine Tree Copper because one side shows a pine tree while the other side shows the

Goddess of Liberty seated on the globe. Little is known about this coin, but there is only one original coin, but many replicas.

This coin represents the armor of God against evil as shown by a knight with a sword and shield. This coin pays tribute to

brave men and women of America’s military.

This coin shows the USS Missouri, a battleship that served from WWII to Desert Storm. It could fire a 2700 pound cannon shell 20 miles. It was a sister ship to the USS

Arizona, sunk during the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.

This coin is from the USS Constitution, the worlds oldest active Navy ship. It was launched in 1797 and named by

President George Washington. It earned its nickname “Old Ironsides” against Great Britain in the War of 1812.

This coin came from the D-Day museum in Caen, France. D-Day, June 6, 1944, was when American,

British, and Canadian forces invaded France to begin the defeat of Nazi Germany in WWII.

This coin shows the American flag, and honors US military who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 on. Iraqi Freedom was begun to free the Iraqi people from dictator

Saddam Hussein.

This coin is from the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris France. It is one of the largest and most famous church buildings in the

world. Construction was from 1167 to 1345. It is over 670 years old. It is well known for its famous gargoyles.
