I would like to pay homage to our first patron: The king of the ROYAL BAFOKENG NATION, Kgosi Leruo Molotlegi, who, like his predecessors, has the ability to see potential in an enterprise such as our micro venture. He called us up for duty in 2003 already and so, laid a sturdy foundation for us to build upon. We learn a lot about sustainable business from observing you. Thank you, Kgosi. Also thank you: To Manana Makhanya, who opened doors and introduced us to so many patrons who we still supply today.

i-LINE FILMS is the NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS CHAMPION for 2009/2010 and for this we thank you! We were capped by the National Small Business Chamber at the Gala event in Montecasino on 18 November 2009, ahead of more than 400 plus entries in this category!

Although we work hard as a team and aspire to deliver extraordinary service, it is our selected clients who support this venture and help us achieve sustainability.

What a year! It was probably one of the most trying periods for global business and certainly a first for us. The recession shook most of our clients but they remained loyal and returned to our studio to tap into our resources

in the areas of marketing, corporate info and training materials.

The Royal Bafokeng Nation kept their motion of sustainable development (in line with their Masterplan) despite economic markets in recess and i-Line films was commissioned to serve the office of Kgosi with electronic media and know-how as we documented history in the making. The Royal Bafokeng Nation is an African community determined to achieve its development objectives without sacrificing their heritage and traditions.

It is a matter of great pride that the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace serves as a host venue for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. It is the only community-owned 2010 stadium in South Africa, and the first stadium officially opened for the FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA 2010 World Cup. Together with the Royal Bafokeng’s various business entities we worked in synergy to expand community prosperity:

Royal Bafokeng Holdings is responsible for the management and development of the commercial assets of the Royal Bafokeng Nation, with the overall business objective of maximizing their returns to enable the RBN to deliver sustainable benefits to the community. RBH called on us to capture the media drive surrounding the Nelson Mandela Challenge (football) and the visit by the touring British & Irish Lions (Rugby.)

Royal Bafokeng Sport: Their developmental sports programmes together with their professional teams (Platinum Stars and Platinum Leopards) constitute a unique model for nurturing and developing athletic talent at the local level in South Africa. i-Line films was commissioned to document the community’s Fun Run as well as produce a corporate video and brochure to help market the 5 main sporting development areas of Athletics, Soccer, Rugby, Netball and Martial Arts. We also assisted in capturing media of the Telkom Charity Cup played at the RBSport Palace.

4

We also assisted the RBAdministration by providing audio visual coverage of their bi-annual Kgotha Kgothe (Mass meeting,) the prestigious Royal Bafokeng Awards Ceremony and Supreme Council deliberations in 2009.

i-Line was engaged by the office of the Queen Mother (Mmemogolo) and the Royal Bafokeng family to document expansions made on the social development and cultural fronts (such as the memorial service at Kimberley and the EPL) as they strive to preserve their rich cultural history.

The Small Enterprise Development Agency (seda) again supported i-Line during the year by employing us to (amongst others) assist in the communication of their Entrepreneurs day event, to develop and translate a

5

series of videos on Procurement, Photograph the CEO and board members, capture the launch of the SEDA Hotline and aid with electronic media in general. The Small Enterprise Development Agency (seda) is the Department of Trade and Industry’s agency for supporting small business in South Africa.

SARENS SA: Sarens is the largest and most versatile heavy transport and lifting companies in the world, moving heavy cargo by land and sea. We compiled and completed their annual report, corporate DVD and radio advertisement and moved on to produce a DVD on their new DEMAG 650, the largest mobile crane in Africa! This 9 axle, 720 ton Demag crane is equipped with a lifting height of 140 meters. i-Line films is also tasked with producing the printed media to assist in marketing the crane to the construction industry.

CHUBB (UTC) Chubb's unparalleled range of security and fire protection services include electronic security and monitoring, armed response, fire detection and suppression. They were comfortable to return to our studios for another video to assist in the training and security of their employees. This video programme reconstructs an event where two responses officers were lured into a trap and escaped with serious injuries. The video was filmed at @photo in the Glenfair centre Pretoria and in the Cullinan area of Petra mine, limiting the production crew to employing

6

plastic rifles and handguns because we could not even afford to shoot blanks in residential areas. But with creative editing and audio mixing we produced the exact effects to make the blistering gun fights look real.

G4S Group 4 Securicor is a leading international security services company operating in some 100 countries around the world with over 400,000 employees. They required us to produce a training video to illustrate the correct operational procedure to follow when working with a mechanised safe. This was their first programme with us and we hope to assist in producing more training and corporate material in 2010.

The Fidelity Services Group from small beginnings developed into the largest security group of companies in South Africa, employing some 30 000 people. This year they again called on our photographers to provide digital images to roll out their corporate magazine and use on their website.

7

PRODUCTIVITY SA appointed i-Line again to construct a video which focuses on the after effects of the APO Productivity Practitioner Training Course and on the benefits, achievements, progress of productivity enhancement of Participants, PAPA Members and Companies assisted during the courses.

The Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) is committed to serving and protecting the public and providing guidance to registered healthcare practitioners. This year they celebrated their casual day by donning hats and charged our photographers to capture the moments.

Calabash & The Transnet Foundation. The Sharp Minds initiative of the Transnet Foundation continued in 2009. It is a special initiative aimed at improving the quality of education in the critical areas of Mathematics,

8

Science, Information Technology, Languages and Life Skills. Calabash appoints us to record the process and deliver video productions on the progress and success of the initiative and we also compiled TRANSNET’S multi media group presentation on Power Point combined with video clips.

PUTCO Ltd: The PUTCO brand is an integral part of the passenger transport industry and operates a fleet of 1700 buses in Gauteng, transports 87 million passengers over a distance of 97 million kilometres per annum. Their brand new Roseville depot has been designed to accommodate approximately 500 parked busses and 1500 employees, both male and female drivers with recreational /entertainment facilities and we were tasked to film stock footage for later productions.

GIRLS FROM OUR BLOCK called on us to facilitate the media aspects at the launch of VODACOM Northern Gauteng Region’s launch of the “Yebo, I will” campaign. The drive is aimed at committing the Vodacom family to their brand. We assisted with the Multi-media presentation of Mr. Clive Tarr, Managing Executive of the region and we captured the event on video and photos. A captivating and rousing message was delivered by Mr. Lawrie Golding to inspire the workforce before everyone planted their palm prints on canvas to celebrate their commitment.

9

AQS LIQUID TRANSFER needed i-Line to capture images of a new product for a catalogue. The crew responded with fire and muscle to show the power of the chainsaw. From there on the production line escalated and we currently assist with the design of the new range of logos for their brands of pumps and irrigation. We are also called upon to capture images of parts and products and assisted with their product catalogues.

CSIR tasked us to take photographs of new scientific discoveries made by Dr. Greben, a microbiologist specialising in biological treatment of industrial waste water, specifically concentrating on organic and nutrient pollution removal. NEW CLIENTS! We produced multi-media material for WRP hydro engineers and contributed our videography, photography and writing skills towards assisting St Alban’s Church, Eye Opening Productions, ALF YSEL photography as well as Johann Fouché Multi-Media and SITA. We sincerely hope to secure a strong foundation with them in the new season.

SANDOWN TOURS & INCENTIVES’ team, with a combined travel industry experience of 38 years relish the opportunity to act as travel representatives in Southern Africa. During a corporate convention (at Sun City) from the Brazilian soft drinks company, Schincariol, they required

10

recordings of the event on NTSC format to be edited in Brazil. We responded to the call and deployed two camera crews to assist in the project.

MIDCITY is celebrating its 25th year of existence in the property market this year. It has developed into one of the largest property services in Pretoria. They focus on all facets of property services in the property industry. The key figure behind the origin of MidCity is Dawie de Villiers and we were commissioned to capture photographs of Dawie and the Midcity board for corporate use.

STATE THEATRE (CAF) In the heart of the capital Pretoria, the South African State Theatre is much more than just a complex of theatres. Functioning as a receiving house this unusual, stylish, centrally situated venue can accommodate almost any performance, function or special event. When they staged the Capital Arts Festival this year, our teams were on assignment to capture the grand array of cultural splendour on film.

11

KENTZ is a global engineering specialist solutions provider with over 10,000 employees operating in 26 countries world-wide. When they executed a heavy lift in tandem with SARENS SA we were called upon to capture the event.

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is a proud product of South Africa's first decade of democracy. They requested aerial footage of their Gauteng campuses and we responded with video and photographic equipment to get the job done.

The UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA’s Prof. Alan Guthrie, Director: Equine Research Centre contacted us to pre-record their media brief on research results into a type of vaccine against African Horse Sickness which has shown promising results.

12

Skills development: Our two Phokeng students, Lebo and Patricia are already in their fourth year of skills development and are mastering the art of video production. They were each charged to produce a documentary which could change their communities. Lebo showed early aptitude for directing and was given the opportunity to co-direct 2 documentaries which were commissioned by SABC2 for the TV series “You don’t know me.” Desire, a student from a local film school needed to obtain 100 practical hours in a production facility and we obliged by including her in the CHUBB and music video productions. She had to assist in filming and editing and she excelled under pressure and proved to be a worthy filmmaker!

Broadcasting

Wounded Healer & Isicongo. The 2 documentaries we worked on for SABC’s series “You don’t know me,” were broadcast in November. We are immensely proud of “Wounded Healer” which we filmed in Santa Barbara, California, USA. This documentary tells the story of Dr Dave Cumes, a urologist who moved to the states and then followed in the footsteps of the African forefathers by being initiated as a Sangoma. We received many calls congratulating us on the production, but best of all; we made a friend in Dave Cumes. The second documentary depicts the lives of three domestic workers and their journey as they scale the peaks of the world in “Isicongo” which was filmed in Cape Town. Subtitles were added.

13

Tortured Souls our documentary film which was shown at the Hot Docs Film festival in Toronto in 2007 will be screened at the Cape Winelands Film Festival in (17 -27 March) 2010. This doccie deals with the soul of the serial killer and looks at the atmosphere which stimulates the growth of the tortured soul. Profilers such as Dr. Micki Pistorius, the first profiler of the SAPS, give her expert opinion on the subject.

“Just The Job” is a series on career choices for scholars and seeks to empower learners to choose the correct study opportunity. The pilot episode was sponsored by SASOL and we filmed the episode on a day in the life of a chemical engineer. This series promises to entertain teens as they explore various professions and study opportunities interactively before deciding on a career. We submitted the series to both the SABC and Mindset learn as a free corporate initiative but it was declined. We will aim to distribute the series throughout and directly to schools should we find the right partners to help drive this project.
