INTENSIVE WATERMEDIA PAINTING WORKSHOP
Pack your bags and art materials and bring an open
mind to this creative, interactive workshop. Classes
will focus on the techniques of painting watercolor
on a gessoed ground with an emphasis on creating
dynamic, original designs. Since large areas can be
easily repainted when working on gesso, you will
have the luxury of working intuitively, expressively,
freely experimenting with design, color and value.
Interesting patterns can be achieved by lifting off
paint, while exciting surface textures can be
developed by layering with different media.
Class exercises will be given using my reference
materials as well as objects that students will bring
from home. Artists will work at your own levels, find
their own styles, and build on their strengths.
