Please note that ERM is not required to complete a request of this type since the analyses are not contracted through the EPA's CLP. The following SAS requests are provided to give you the following information: 1 - Typical QC analyses required during the analysis of quantitative physical soil tests. 2 - Typical precision limits for physical soils tests. 3 - Typical recommended actions when specified QC limits are not met. I have also enclosed pp. 49-50 and 65-67 from Chapter 3 of "Procedures in Sedimentary Petrology" for your information. Attached are example copies of the EPA's Special AnalyticalService (SAS) Requests which provide analytical methods,technical and quality control requirements for the EPA's ContractLaboratory Program (CLP) participants when non-routine sampleanalyses are requested in support of various environmentalstudies such as RI/FSs, RDs and RAs. Please note that ERM is notrequired to complete a request of this type since the analysesare not contracted through the EPA's CLP.
