DETAILED PICTURE AND SENTENCE

October 2012

As a class we learned what a detailed picture needs to have. We created expectations or a criteria chart about colors, neatness and details.

The next day students orally constructed a sentence of what they would be on Halloween. We counted the words as a class. Students then wrote a sentence using POPCORN words and kid writing to spell. Mrs. Williams met with each child to talk about their writing and picture. During this time students added a period to their sentence.
