Two years ago, The Lewis Institute launched the Social Innovation
Inventureship. The Inventureship is a Babson paid or credit
bearing fellowship that allows our students to invent their own
social innovation project that uses ET&A™ to accelerate social
and economic impact. Students co-create with a sponsoring
organization (or their own venture) to address a current social
impact challenge. Last year, Tien Mai ’20 used an Inventureship to
successfully launch the first-ever women’s hackathon in Vietnam
(pictured above). Please consider supporting this powerful active
learning experience.
Being exposed to the idea of creating economic and social value simultaneously had never occurred to me until I
looked into the work of The Lewis Institute. I now believe that it is my duty as a human to use what I know and what I
love to do to make this world a better place.

NOW
This fall marks the start of Babson’s 99th academic year. As we look to the future, one thing remains clear: we are the global leader in entrepreneurial education. As we approach our Centennial in 2019, Babson continues to prepare entrepreneurial leaders of all kinds who create social and economic value simultaneously. In doing so, Babson graduates transform lives, businesses, and communities. Babson’s Centennial vision will make Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® (ET&A™) accessible to everyone, everywhere.
With support from generous donors, and in collaboration with various campus partners, our academic centers and institutes deliver on our mission by providing students with real-life experience to put into practice what they learn in the classroom. Babson’s centers and institutes are the “Action” in ET&A™, providing immersive learning experiences where students can follow their passions. The work being done by each center and institute, in conjunction with our exceptional faculty, is just one of the many reasons Babson has been ranked No. 1 for entrepreneurship for more than two decades.
I invite you to explore and connect with our centers and institutes, and I hope that you will join our community of donors. Your support will enable Babson students to become entrepreneurial leaders equipped to make a difference on campus and around the world.
Now more than ever, your investment in one of Babson’s seven academic centers and institutes will support the College’s vision to remain the preeminent leader in entrepreneurial education.
Warm regards,
Candida BrushF.W. Olin Distinguished Professor of EntrepreneurshipVice Provost of Global Entrepreneurial Leadership
