IBiS Roofing has been investing intraditional roofing skills for over 25 years.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is based upon trustedprinciples in building conservation:
• Minimum intervention - the mostexpensive route isn't necessarily thebest route for a historic building
• Replace like with like
• Respect the sanctity of abuilding
• Use traditional methods andtechniques
Skills & Qualifications
At management level our personnel arecommitted to the conservation of ourhistoric roof heritage.
We have one manager qualified with a PostGraduate Diploma in Building Conservationfrom the College of Estate Management.
At operative level our personnel are givenas a minimum NVQ training in their chosenfield (e.g. slating and tiling) and then followa progressive career path which includes aheritage qualification.
All personnel hold Construction SkillsCertification Scheme cards (CSCS).
IBIS strongly supports the North WestHeritage Skills Hub and the NationalHeritage Training Group with the newemphasis on Heritage Skills NVQ level 3and the CSCS Heritage Skills card.

He isDeputy Vice Chair for the National Federation of Roofing Contractors in thenorth west and a Competent Roofing Inspector for CERTAS as well as aHeritage Assessor for the NFRC.
