Resource Dependency ServiceResource Dependency Service Discover the enterprise topology and
display in a graphical format Understand what is configured on the resource
and the relationship of the resources
This resource mapping and topology is used for the Virtualization Engine multi-system fix capacity – checking dependencies and relationships when applying VE maintenance
Automatic Discovery of IBM and non-IBM resources
Identifies dependencies and relationships Graphical display of topology via VEC Customer may
logically group resources to reflect business objectives.
View resource properties
Zoom, pan, etc. Customer can view relationships to discover
side effects of problem resources or operator actions

Performance is in Internal Throughput Rate (ITR) ratio based on measurements and projections using standard IBM benchmarks in a controlled environment. The actual throughput that any user will experience will vary depending upon considerations such as the amount of multiprogramming in the user’s job stream, the I/O configuration, the storage configuration, and the workload processed. Therefore, no assurance can be given that an individual user will achieve throughput improvements equivalent to the performance ratios
