The BPC is a new type of city partnership in the sense that each member local government plays a leading part in promoting economic exchanges at the private sector level. Through this network, the BPC program aims to support the globalization and revitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Osaka and to promote the mutual development of BPCs through economic exchanges. Bridging the World and OsakaIBPC OsakaThe International Business Promotion Center (IBPC) Osaka, is a subsidiary of the Osaka City Government, established to promote trade, industry and business between Osaka and various parts of the world. By leveraging the overseas office of the Osaka City Government and the Business Partner City network, and working in close cooperation with Osaka’s business society, we serve as a bridge to connect you with Osaka-based SMEs having attractive cutting-edge technologies and services, thereby to assist you in developing markets and embarking on production and R&D activities in Japan.

Upon request, we refer Osaka-based companies to advisors specialized in business practices in China, Vietnam and India, who offer consultations on investment , legal affairs, tax , labor, logistics, arbitration and other matters to cater to individual business needs. Through this consultation service, we assist Osaka-based companies in working with foreign companies, entering overseas markets, and addressing issues they have met in doing business overseas. The consultation service is offered for free to first-time users. *Prior reservation is required.

In collaboration with BPC-affiliated organizations, we hold a business matching event at Osaka and conduct two -way PR fo r buyers and c o nsume r s i n Osa ka a nd o ve r seas b y supporting Osaka businesses' participation in international trade fairs. This expands business matching opportunities for small-to-medium businesses in Osaka and overseas. We also provide appropriate information regarding the above.

We organize seminars by inviting business managers and other trade and investment specialists as lecturers to share the latest information concerning industry, economy, investment and legal systems. These seminars also al low foreign business managers to exchange management know-how and ideas for corporate development with managers of Osaka-based SMEs, thereby helping them deepen mutual understanding and create new business opportunities.

To encourage international interactions among companies and economic bodies and expand business opportunities, we send and accept business missions in cooperation with BPC’s partners, foreign consulates in Osaka, and organizations engaged in trade promotion and economic exchange activities.

As part of our efforts to reinforce the BPC network, we invite working-level personnel who are to take executive posit ions of BPC’s overseas partner organizations to participate in training sessions at the IBPC Osaka to deepen understanding of the economic situation of Osaka and Osaka-based companies.

We provide various training courses for trading pract ices, languages and other re levant matters to help Osaka-based companies gain expertise and know-how necessary for doing business overseas. You are welcome to become a “IBPC Osaka member” anytime and receive privileges such as attending various seminars at discounted fees. For further detail, please contact the secretariat.
