He has contributed to multiple publications, but is most proud of his practicum
for which he implemented a novel risk-adjustment system for the comparison
of surgical complication rates within The Mount Sinai Hospital. This statistical
methodology allows for an accurate evaluation of physician performance by
taking into account the relative health of the patient populations served by
each surgeon.
Jeff would like to extend deep thanks to his parents for their continued support
throughout his life and academic career. Additionally, he would like to thank his
mentors for their guidance, especially Dr. Divino for providing the opportunity
to conduct an independent project within the Department of Surgery.
