One day a 15-year-old boy named Alika and his little brother Sulu where hunting seals with their
sled dogs in the cold regions of Antarctica.
Suddenly, an iceberg appeared and hit the ice where they were hunting. The ice broke off from the land
stranding Alika, his brother Sulu and all eight of their sled dogs.
Knowing that the dogs might be able to notify family back home, Alika quickly instructs the dogs to jump
to safety on the other side. However, he keeps ones special dog with him. He called the dog Jamaka.
Immediately after the ice broke off Alika and his brother Sulu started building an igloo to protect
them from the harsh weather.
Alika was smart enough to know that he needed to go hunting for seals to keep his brother and
himself alive!
His dog Jamaka helped him find a good spot to go hunting for seals.
While hunting, Alika gets attacked by a wild, white polar bear and Alika barely manages to make it away
with his life.
What happens next?
* Does he make it back to land?* Do they find his family?
* Do the dogs survive?
