IceLand - The Magical land Itinerary

Arrival Day:
Your guides will pick you up at the airport and will take you to your hotel in
Reykjavík or in Keflavík, depending on the time of arrival.
Accommodation: in a nice 3 star hotel in Reykjavík or Keflavík close to the
airport (subject to availability). Sleep well for the next awesome day!
Day 1
(Golden Circle)
After breakfast, we will start the tour to the south of Iceland. -The first stop would be at Þingvellir national park.
-Experience the geological phenomenon of Mid-Atlantic ridge. -Hot springs and the reliable Strokkur fountain that erupts continuously.
-Gullfoss water fall, it’s the queen of Iceland’s waterfalls, one of the most
spectacular waterfalls of Iceland situated on the white colored Hvitá River.

Day 2
(Glacier Walk) -Today we will continue with our trip along the south shore. We will visit the
picturesque waterfalls Seljalandsfoss where we can walk behind the waterfall.
-passing under the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano then we will arrive to
Sólheimajökull glacier where we will take you for the glacier walk. On this fun, safe and easy to moderate glacier walk you get to explore the
wonderland of ice sculptures, water cauldrons, ridges and deep crevasses on the breathtaking moments.
-we will teach you more about the behavior of glaciers and their impact on nature during this adventure.
-We will teach you how to use basic glacier equipment, such as crampons and an ice axe which are provided to all participants. The duration of the
tour is around 4 hours. *Accommodation in a nice country hotel close to Kirkjubæjarklaustur
Day 3
(Skaftafell – Glacier Lagoon) Today you will drive to Skaftafell National Park which contains some of the
most precious natural pearls of the country. The rugged landscapes, mountains and glaciers, the flora and the fauna have a magnetic influence
on the visitors. You can do a short hike (5-6km) to the beautiful Svartifoss waterfall.
Next you will drive to the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón where you will go on
an exciting boat trip on the lagoon in an amphibian boat. During the excursion you sail among the huge icebergs in the picturesque scenery of
Jökulsárlón. On the boat you get to taste the 1000 year old ice and if you are lucky you might even see some seals.

Day 4
(The South Shore back to Reykjavík) Today we will drive back to Reykjavík. You can visit some of the site that
you might not have been able to see on our way to Kirkjubæjarklaustur. For example the famous Reynisfjara shore which is close to the village Vík. It’s
a black pebble beach and features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a rocky step pyramid. Out in the sea are the spectacularly
shaped basalt sea stacks Reynisdrangar.
And also we will stop to see a gigantic black arch of lava standing in the sea on our way back to the capital city Reykjavík.

Day 5 (Hike to Glymur waterfall)
After Breakfast we will go hiking to the highest waterfall in Iceland (198m) , 4 hrs.
- You will have the afternoon free in the city.

Day 6
(Caving – Blue Lagoon – Reykjanes Peninsula)
Today starts with exploring the incredible lava tube (cave) of volcano that
formed more than 2000 years ago, with experienced cave and geologist guides who will provide you with the appropriate equipment (helmets and
lights) and scientific information as well about the cave.
After the cave exploring we will go to the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal natural spa surrounded by lava fields on Reykjanes peninsula. The water is
rich in silica and sulphur that helps make your skin shine like a baby. The
temperature in the bathing and swimming area is very comfortable, and averages 37–39 °C.
On the way back to the city you will visit some of the wonders of the Reykjanes Peninsula as ( surprise for you ).

Day 7
(Whale Watching and Afternoon in Reykjavík) Your day will start with a whales watching in the sea by boat.
After the whale watching tour you will have the opportunity to discover the city center on your own. You can see the most famous places and buildings in Reykjavík like the church Hallgrímskirkja, the sculpture the Sun Voyager and the new concert hall Harpa. And you can do some shopping to buy some souvenirs.
Departure Day Transfer to the airport according to your flight time back.
