    7 DAYS NOV 24 & DEC 8, 2018

    Day 1 Boston, Massachusetts: Depart Logan International Airport on your included overnight flight to Reykjavik.

    Day 2 Reykjavik, Iceland: Upon arrival, meet your AAA Travel Escort, then get acquainted with old town Reykjavik on a walking tour featuring Hallgrimskirkja church, city hall, the harbor and Kraum Icelandic design center. In the evening, dine at a popular restaurant featuring Icelandic cuisine before taking an exhilarating northern lights cruise on Faxafloi Bay in search of the aurora borealis.

    Day 3Golden Circle/Seljalandsfoss Waterfall/Vik: Travel the incredible Golden Circle, a route that encompasses many of Icelands most renowned natural wonders. Journey to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Icelanders gathered in A.D. 930 and established one of the worlds first parliaments. Visit the geothermal fields

    of Geysir and Strokkur, then marvel at

    the stunning 100-foot, double cascading Gullfoss waterfall. Next, see the beautiful Seljalandsfoss, one of Icelands most famous and picturesque waterfalls, before continuing to Vik, the southernmost village in Iceland, surrounded by beautiful valleys, beaches, cliffs and mountains.

    Day 4Eyjafjallajokull Volcano Visitor Centre/Skogar Museum: Drive along the scenic south shore to Eyjafjallajokull volcano and learn about its dramatic 2010 explosion. Visit Skogar Folk Museum with its outstanding collection of farm and domestic artifacts and, later, Reynisfjara, a black volcanic sand beach surrounded by basalt formations, cliffs scattered with caves and rich bird life.

    Day 5Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon/Skaftafell: Explore the glacial lagoon at Jokulsarlon, filled with floating icebergs, then travel to Skaftafell and Vatnajokull National Park, home to Icelands highest mountains and Europes largest glacier.

    Day 6Blue Lagoon/Reykjavik: Experience the Reykjanes Peninsula, known for its rugged landscape, lava fields, numerous hot springs, and home of the Blue Lagoon. Take a dip in the warm, mineral-rich waters of its geothermal pool, then return to Reykjavik for a farewell dinner.

    Day 7Reykjavik: After breakfast, transfer to Reykjavik International Airport for your flight home.
