Materials play an important role in the advancement of science and technology and human society. Advances in materials technologies and processes are prerequisites for the growth of industrial sectors of any country. The demand for materials and processes that are cost-effective, eco-friendly and energy efficient are rapidly increasing and will continue to increase in the years to come. Considering India’s natural resources as well as industrial advancement and R&D capabilities, it has now become almost imperative to narrow down the areas, which need special attention. With this background an International Conference on Emerging Materials and Processes (ICEMP-2014) is being organized. Eminent experts from the country in the field of materials science and engineering will be invited to deliver lectures in areas of their expertise. ICEMP-2014 aims at bringing together academicians and researchers in various disciplines to share knowledge and exchange views, for useful industrial applications. The conference will facilitate discussion on the latest trends in the entire gamut of advanced materials and processes. The deliberations will provide a forum for researchers around the globe to present papers on recent advances in the field of processing and manufacturing of advanced materials.

Welcome to Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, the capital of Orissa, is also popularly known as the "Temple City of India". Being the seat of Tribhubaneswar or 'Lord Lingaraj', Bhubaneswar is an important Hindu pilgrimage centre that has a glorious history, art & culture. The archaeological remains at Dhauli, and hills of Udayagiri and Khandagiri give evidence of both Jain and Buddhist settlements around Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar is home to many educational institutions including the IIT Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), Institute of Physics, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Utkal University, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, NISER, IIIT Bhubaneswar, CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, etc.
