Counties Work

NACo partnered with iCivics to educate and inform K-12 students about the important role and functions of county government.

Students across the country will play the game in classrooms while

studying civics and social studies. Teachers will have curriculum and quizzes to assist them in their lesson

plans.

The Game

During the game, students serve as a county official with the tasks of providing services, dealing with citizen requests, setting and raising revenues, and working within a budget.

Students match approved citizen requests with the appropriate

county department that provides that critical service.
