Service innovation and cost reductionInnovative proof-of-concept

Challenge:The company needed to bring new, converged services to market much faster and with reasonable efforts/costs.

What they needed:Provide rich voice and data services to customers quickly and at a reduced costRapid assembly of innovative combinational services

The Project Leader said, This horizontal approach to service creation combined with the power of IMS gives us a much closer interlock between our Business Analysts and Technical Architects allowing us to translate marketing product wish lists to reality much more efficiently.

    Outcomes:

In the proof of concept, two combinational services were developed, CallTones and InfoService

Closer interlock between Business Analysts and Technical Architects results in ability to bring marketing product wish lists to reality much more efficiently

Previously siloed network infrastructure transformed into componentized, reusable services that can easily interoperate using industry standards

The approach leads to shorter product development times, reduced cost and a more integrated services portfolio
