1. New Teams and Teams Withdrawn I am glad to announce that Veneto Tennis Club has committed to join the +55
League in the West Division this year, and so has King City Tennis Club in the
East Division. Credit Valley Tennis Club also has great interest, but still has not
committed to join our League at this moment.
Ajax Tennis Club has withdrawn its 2 teams and Bramalea Tennis Club has
withdrawn 1 of its 3 teams.
2. League Rules Since we amended our League Rule No. D4 from ‘Teams will have the right to
refuse Promotion’ to ‘Teams must take Promotion’. All our captains have
followed the new Rule and are all happy when they see the new Team
Alignment.

3. Playoffs Since we had great success in playoffs last year, we will continue to use the same
format every year.
4. Division Chair Meeting Our yearly Division Chair meeting will be held sometime in September after the
Final. Captains are encouraged to raise their issues to their Division Chairs
before this meeting.
5. Rogers Cup Week If our Tournament Final date, set on Saturday, Sept. 19th, is finalized, a week
later than last year’s, then we have the luxury to take Rogers Cup week as a Bye
Week. It would certainly benefit all the Rogers Cup volunteers.

ICTA
• Mixed League Director - John Mowat
• For the 2015 season the Mixed League will be made up of the following
divisions:o Majors – 2 divisionso A – 4 divisionso B and C – 8 divisions each
• Due to the elimination of the D5 rule in the Fall 2014 AGM, (teams having
option to be promoted), to a system of mandatory promotion of top teams to a
higher division, we anticipate that the 2015 season should see more
competitive play at all divisions.

• For the 1st time, the Mixed League will have division chairs for each division.
Captains will work closely with the division chairs to resolve disputes.
• Over the winter, a task force was formed to revise the Mixed League rules to
give the rules more clarity and provide a grievance process.
• Over the past several weeks, the revised Mixed League rules has been shared
with club reps and team captains with very positive feedback overall.
• This evening, we are making a Motion to have these revised Mixed League rules
approved and implemented for the 2015 season.
