We performed structure analysis by the FEM (Finite Element Method) to secure credibility on a reinforcement system and the intensity of panels and pursue the optimal design. By inputting all possible factors such as hydrostatic pressure, seismic load, snow load, wind load, etc., we estimated the stress and distortion level. Through intensive reinforcement on the part with maximum stress, we aimed to design the best stable system.

We fill the hydrostratic pressure tester with water and increase

the pressure by 0.05 kgf/cm per minute and check the destruc-

tion pressure of the panel. Based on the pressure, we decide the

grade(thickness/weight) applicable to each height.

By modeling the four-direction symmetric panel to 1/4 of the size,

we evaluate the level of stress by area when inputting loads. as

for the part where the intensive stress is given, we reset the shape

or increase the thickness for ideal model. By doing so, we realize

Generally, there is more than one water depletion and filling up a water tank per day on the average. Therefore, if the tank is used for

15 years, approximately 4000 times of water circulation would occur and the tank would sustain about 4000 repetitive loads. Before

launching new product into the market, Hi Tank undergoes field tests to check for water leakage and other defects by applying the

expected actual repetitive loads of water circulation to two tanks every day and night for about 6 months. Such tests make us possible

to guarantee the safety and endurance of Hi Tank.

Compartment-type Hi Tank

• Can be installed in Maximum Capacity of a Same-Sized Place When installing tanks for different usage in a narrow space such as underground rooms, partitions can be installed for the maximum capacity.

• Diversification of usage By installing partitions, you can use one tank for drinking and the other for other purposes (e.g. fire hydrant, etc.)

• easy Maintenance As two tanks are installed in one-piece, it is easy to maintain the tank. Even during cleaning, suspension of water supply can be avoided owing to the use of compartments.

• low Price Compared with installing each tank for a different usage, the entire price is lower, including installation expenses.

※ Since partition panels receive repetitive loads from both the front and back, when installing the panels

Purchaser warrants and undertakes that it shall use the goods strictly in accodance with the technical documents of the supplier.

This warranty is not applicable to damage of failure that may oc-cur as the result of incorrect or caseless storage, incorrect or careless service, excessive duty or incorrect usage of the com-modity, incorrect assembling, or nonobservance by the purchaser.

• This warranty is waived if1. Damages are caused by natural disasters including (but not limited to) flood,

fire, lightning, thunderbolt or landslide or by any other external circumstances such as building collapse.

2. In situations where the tank has been used to store anything other than nor-maltemperature drinking water in excess of 50℃.

3. In situations where faulty concrete (including, but not limited to, unleveled or insufficient strength of the concrete) has caused damage.

• Foundation concrete : must possess minimum compression strength of 180 kg/cm2

• The level differences in the foundation concrete, foundation frame, and bottom plate

should be 2mm or less.• as for the foundation concrete and foundation frame, the degree of the horizon should

be 1/500 mm or less (and the total or accumulated degree of the horizon should be

2mm or less)

4. In situations where the foundation frame is excessively deflected or lakcs flex-ural strength, which leads to defects in the bottom panel.

• The maximum amount of deflection for the foundation frame : L/500 up to a maximum of

5mm when the tank is full of water.• Flexural strength : 1600 kg/cm2 or more.

5. In situations where the tank is deformed due to concussion or compression damage.

6. In situations where there has been a structural change without our approval (including arbitrary changes in internal or external components).

7. In situations where facilities, including pipes, which have been installed without fixtures, around the Hi-Tank have directly or indirectly applied loads to the tank.

5. In situations where failure to follow the cleaning guidelines has led to dam-age.

• Cleaning frequency : Twice a year (this is required to check whether the re-filled water

is of adequate quality)• no rough sponges like "lufa" or any organic solvents (thinner or acetone) may be used

for cleaning.• no high-pressure jet washing is available.

9. In situations where the customer has not followed with "Management In-structions for Hi-Tank Users".

10. In situations where the tank installation has not followed the stated stan-dards suggested in the construction manual.

1. Foundation Work Foundation work should be done by the demander based on the designed specifications and considering ground durability of the site where the tank is to be located

SERIM MuLSAN Trading Co., Ltd. shall do the anchor bolt construc-tion.

The strength of concrete for the foundation work should have physical properties of over 180 kg/cm2

The thickness of mortar for the finishing work on the concrete base should be less than 20 mm.

2. Piping Work We will provide sockets for piping in advance at the designated

location by the demander. Therefore, the customer should de-cide the location and size precisely of the inlet and the outlet for

the water overflow valve and drainage before ordering the tank.

1. DeliveryDo not put an intensive load or impact in any way while moving the tank. Be sure to use buffers for the part that the tank comes in contact with, such as ropes or the contact with the vehicle.

2. Piping Install a prop while installing piping and take care not to put an excessive load on the distributors.

Install pipes from the site where the tank is located and take care not to put on a biased load.

Take precautions to avoid fire or other occurrences/accidents while welding

3. Maintenance and repair If it is not used for a long time, be sure to drain the water from the tank.

As the tank is a reservoir of water for consumption by people, regu-lar inspection should be done for safety(more than twice a year)

Checklist for checking dew condensation thought the calculation of dew point temperature▲

To check the dew condensation in the tank, identify the difference between the inside of water temperature and the outside of tank temperature. Draw a line vertically at the point and mark the point (a) where the line meets the curve representing the relative humidity inside the tank. Draw an oblique line to the dew point temperature curve and mark it contact point (B). Point (B) is the dew point temperature at which dew condensation may occur.

Occurrence of dew condensation Dew point temperature < the temperature inside the tank : Dew condensation does not occur.

Dew point temperature > the temperature inside the tank : Dew condensation occurs.

Handling of dew condensation It is important to lower the relative humidity in the tank.

It is important to complement the ventilation/duct system that corresponds to the size of the tank.
