Genre and Themes• Tragedy- about a terminally ill teenager who wants to fulfil his final

wishes

• He writes a bucket list in the opening to show what will later happen in the film.

Age Certificate and Audience• Film may be distressing as it contains illness and death. We want to

target a demographic aged between (12-18)• Therefore, we will rate it a 12A to include the younger members of

the audience• Secondary Audience will be young adults (19-21) or Parents watching

with the younger target demographic

LocationWe will use the protagonists bedroom as the main

location for the opening sceneThe scene may continue outside the house when he

walks to school but only for a short periodThe narrative will be revealed by items in the room eg

Posters, trophies, Calenders containing dates, the bucket list

CharactersProtagonist (yet to decide a name)- the camera will follow

him throughout the opening and will start in his room. (Hero following Propp)

Older sibling/parent- wake up the protagonist, ideally a adult but this may be hard for us to find someone suitable to play the role (Dispatcher following Propp)

Friend- protagonist will walk to school with them. Will share a very similar social group which will be shown through costume (Helper/Donor following Propp)

Clothing stereotypical of teenage boys and the characters social groups

Likely to be sportswear or school uniform. Bandana used to symbolise illness

Parent will similarly wear clothing suitable for them. Eg workwear, suit etc

Bedroom will contain lot’s of technology to represent him as a teenager

Voiceover will describe what’s happening (dates and illness etc)

needed as a member of the 'big six' would not fit the genre

Studio Canal is the distributor for several film4 productions so it will look realistic
