If all of the world's cultural heritage (sports, music, fashion, architecture, literature, painting, etc..) was contained in a time capsule, what would you include to demonstrate the legacy of your country?

Country: Venezuela

This country is officially called “Republica Bolivariana de Venezuela”. It is located in South America and it is bordered by Colombia, Brazil, Guyana and Caribbean Sea. This country has a population of approximately 30 million people and it is recognized for it’s beauty and it’s petroleum.

INTRODUCTIONAccording to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a time capsule is:

“a container that is filled with things (such as newspapers or clothing) from the present time

and that is meant to be opened by people at some time in the future”.

Location?

I will bury it on Maiquetia International airport. Because this is the main entrance and exit of the country. This place represent the things and places you leave when you go and find when you come back.

National park that surrounds the city. This mountain has many things to offer, some of them are: - It’s natural beauty- A place to exercise- Eat, drink and spend the night

CERRO EL AVILA

In my time capsule I will include a painting of Cerro El Avila.

An archipelago conformed by approximately 350 islands, cays and islets, which are surrounded by clear crystal water and white sand.

LOS ROQUES

In my time capsule, I will include a snow globe, full of it’s white sand and crystal clear water.

National park, formed by meadows and sand, it is located in the state of falcon.

In my time capsule, I would include jar full of its sand

Venezuela’s second largest national park. It is recognized specially because of the large variation of fauna that can only be found in this beautiful place, distributed throughout the park.

In my time capsule, I would include several dissected flowers, typical of this area

JESUS SOTO

My time capsule will have an integrated artwork by Jesus Soto, on the back side of the capsule

Jesus Soto is an internationally recognized Venezuelan artist. This artist is mostly recognized because of his beautiful sculptures.

Carlos Cruz Diez is an internationally recognized Venezuelan artist, with many masterpieces spread all over the world such as the floors of Maiquetia Airport, murals in highways, etc.

My time capsule would have an integrated artwork by Carlos Cruz Diez, on the back side of the capsule

Universidad Central de Venezuela is Venezuela’s first university, it’s located in Caracas.

Venezuela is recognized for being the mother land of many important characters such as Simon Bolivar, Francisco de Miranda, Antonio Jose de Sucre and Andres Bello, who contributed to the independence and liberation movements across Latin America

Internationally recognized high fashion designers. Both mainly recognized because of their spectacular dresses.

This is Venezuela’s most recognized sport, with millions of fans in the country. Many Venezuelan baseball players are highly recognized in the world, ranking among the highest in the MLB Hall of Fame.

In my time capsule, I would include Miguel Cabrera’s baseball bat and pictures/videos of his best moments

This is the main element of my time capsule. I will use it to show the people from the future the objects I consider essential to demonstrate the legacy of my country.

The places and object shown in my album are just there to locate the viewers in context, so that they can understand the objects in this time capsule and many other things about my beautiful country.

In my time capsule, I would include a photo album.

CONCLUSION

Venezuela is a beautiful country, full of beauty and talent. Answering this question made me realize the opportunities and luck I have had throughout my life by living here.

Choosing the elements I was going to put in my time capsule wasn’t easy, because all of the wonderful things this country has to offer.
