LITERATURE• Left for Dead by Beck Weathers.

• This book is an autobiography in which many values such as personal growth , perseverance, seeking for solutions , friendship and love are represented in two incredible sceneries , one of them mountain Everest , and the other one , he’s own house, but with the difference that he didn’t had hands anymore and still had to provide for his family.

• This book is important for the capsule because it shows how us as humans can reach incredible levels of pain or find ourselves in difficult situations and still be able to fight and believe in a solution.

• This book inspires to aspire

MUSIC

• Elvis Presley: this American singer was known specially for his dance moves which put the world upside down, however, in my opinion it is essential to add this person in the time capsule because he fostered the fusion of black and white music. This mix was called Rock N Roll.

• In the capsule I would add his biography and all of his records.

SPORTS

• Rugby is a sport that represents several values such as fair play , honour, respect and brotherhood. I would add to the capsule the rules and the meaning that this sport has.

• In addition all of this values help to the integration of people. A perfect example of this ,is a film called ”Invictus” which teaches us how through the involvement and sacrifice in this sport black and white people began to accept each other reinforcing Mandela’s political views .

RELIGION• In the capsule I would save the old city of Toledo (Spain) because this city reflects a perfect mix of the harmony of 3 different religions

(Cristianism , Islamism and Judaism) that converged in Spain during the same period of time and developed together in perfect stability. This means that this 3 religions could co-exist together.

• I would save this city in the capsule because it is one of many places in the world where 3 religions have co-existed at the same time. This , makes it unique and beautiful.

FILM

• The Kite Runner: I would choose this movie because it teaches you to value relations with everybody and that you can always learn something new from people you would not expect. However the main point of this movie is the strength of the bonds that people can create .This movie is very engaging from the first moment due to the strong feelings that presents .

ART

• Liberty Leading the People by Eugène de la Croix in 1830

• This piece of art is essential for the future because it represents the union of a place in which people sought for their common good all together against the decision that Carlos X made of suppressing the Parliament and the freedom of press

FASHION

• Jeans: in the when this type of trouser came out it was just used between miners or cowboys. However in the 1950s Marlon Brando in a film called ”The wild one” used jeans in a casual way and this created a trend between the youth of the time.

• Nowadays jeans are a basic element to have in your closet . This material should be in the capsule because it looks good , it’s cheap and resistant.

ARCHITECTURE

• Sagrada Familia: represents modernity even though it’s construction started more than 100 years ago. It is also a significant monument because it is a public construction, this means that people pay for it and not the state. Nowadays is one of the most note worthy churches in the world due to the grandiosity that represents and the several styles that include such as Gothic and then modernistic.
