Euro-Topten Max Click your way to energy savings

Euro-Topten Max: Fast selection, best choice

TOPTEN websites present selection of best products available in 19 countries. A common portal www.topten.eu gives access to each of the 19 websites which are tailored to national consumers and markets.

Market stimulation: focus on large-scale buyers (government procurers via new section www.topten.eu/pro, and retailers) and office equipment, performance targets for manufacturers.

Dissemination activities: websites, media coverage, press releases, newsletters, social networks.

Purpose: convince manufacturers through multinational pressure that a demand exists for efficient products.

Euro-Topten Max: Results

19 national web sites online, tailored to consumers’ needs 13 500 top efficient products displayed within 270 product categories.

LEDs widely introduced, tightened selection criteria during the project (TVs and white goods)

Regular contacts with more than 750 manufacturers’ representatives More than 80 retailers showing Topten in shops (incl. large on-line

retail chains) 12 PRO sections for large public and private buyers and 10

procurement guidelines on www.topten.eu/pro 95 partnerships with NGOs, institutions, the media, utilities… 126 press releases, 1 621 pieces of media coverage reported, more

than 273 Mio media contacts Visitors in 2014: 2.11 Mio & 6 Mio over the 3 year-project (incl. CH)
