• The August 2013 issue is on “Evolutionary Complex
Engineering Optimization”. Proof is expected on 21 June
2013. The issue is expected to ship by 15 July 2013
• I have processed 15 feature issues from 2010-2013. Never
been late in production and shipment
• Met page budgets (320 pages per year) from 2010-2013
• The next few issues are scheduled as follows:
November 2013: “CI for Space Systems and Operations”
Feb 2014: “CI in Natural Language Processing”
May 2014: “CI in Robotics”
• 51 peer-reviewed papers have been received from
Jan – June 2013. A healthy increase in submissions
from last year
• First review decision continues to remain at 10 weeks
• Digital distribution of CIM via email and PDF started in
2012. IEEE Newsstand iPad App will be ready soon
• CIM Outstanding Paper Award starts from 2013
