Creativity and Entrepreneurship
Peacock is the vehicle of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. The
conference symbol, therefore, aptly depicts the spirit of entrepreneurship through
traditional rendering of peacock embedded with lotus petals (the symbol of Goddess
of wealth and abundance-Laxmi).The name Saraswati itself means ‘the essence of
one’s own self’, the very spirit of entrepreneurship

are completely unknown to the city.

At the airport, you may avail the paid taxi service which may cost you around INR 300-

At the railway station, both car and three wheelers (auto rickshaw) are the acceptable
mode of transport within the city. Car/Cab would normally charge INR 250/- (Approx.
US $ 5), whereas a three wheeler would charge a minimum of INR 50-150/- to most
locations in Ahmedabad. Three wheelers are considered to be safe mode of transport
within the city, with a distance ranging from 8-12 kms. It is, however, not advisable if you
want to travel to the outskirts of Ahmedabad owing to heavy traffic.

Traffic situation
Normally, Ahmedabad traffic is smooth without major traffic jams. A trip for a
destination of about 15 kilometers anywhere in the city would take about 30 minutes.
However, you may find that the localites are not following the standard traffic rules and
therefore, one has to be extra cautious while walking on the roads on your own. This
information is just for caution, but not as a matter of major worry.
You can still relax, move freely and enjoy your stay in Ahmedabad. The localites are
extremely friendly and hospitable to outsiders, and you may find them quite warm in
interaction.
