How do you know the book isn’t too difficult for you?
• One of the most important things to do to become a better reader is to read “good-fit” books.
The Daily 5
Choose books that you are interested in – everyone likes different things!
• Mysteries• Animals• Poetry• Fairytales• Sports• Space
Make sure that you understand what you are reading
• The elastic hyoid, combined with the fibroelastic tissue on top of the big cats' undivided vocal folds, acts like a slide trombone, enabling the big cats to roar.
and that you know most of the words
• Tigers are the largest wild cat in the world.• They can weigh up to 720 pounds.

Do you want a book like the one you just finished? Do you want a mystery? Or are you more interested in learning
about sports? Whatever the book, make sure it is something you would like to

Whatever book you choose, make sure that you can comprehend it. If you find yourself asking a lot of questions and
things are sort of confusing, then maybe the book isn’t a good-fit book.

Whatever book you choose, make sure that you can understand the words. You should know most of the words that you read. If you don’t, then the
