T he culture of Tunisia is mixed due to its long established history of conquerors such as Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Arabs, Turks, Spaniards and the French. They all splattered our History with their culture and the remaining traces of their passing are not to be forgotten.

D esert is a characteristic of the natural landscapes of our country in the south. Wealso find vegetation such as pine forests, meadows with grazing cattle as well as orchards and vineyards on the eastern coast. However, we should not forget the beauty of this country’s coastline which is another characteristic of Tunisia’s beauty. The Archipelago of kerkennas is a major example of this

O b je c t iv e s : *Project Draw a smile wants to make an impact on a social level on these children and let them achieve their potential. *Making the children comfortable and confident about their situations and letting them know that nothing is impossible. *Give the children the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world and give them the possibility to learn through contact with internationals in a healthy atmosphere.

A b o u t:

Project Draw a smile is an initiative of AIESEC Carthage in Tunisia which if solely focused on helping little children achieve their everyday goals and letting them fully enjoy life and its components. Although they may be faced with certain challenges because they are special in a way, project Draw a smile wants to make their life easier and motivate them to be like every little youngster in the world and just be happy.

Enhancing the idea that when you’re working with mentally challenged children, you can make an even bigger impact in their lives than working with mentally healthy children. Infact, you’ll be changing their whole world just by being selfless and generous and through that you’ll give them the possibility to fully achieve their potential.

M o r e a b o u t th e p r o je c t : Within the draw a smile initiative, AIESEC Carthage enables you to come to the beautiful Tunisia and work with interesting children with minor mental disabilities. Infact, you’ll be the sunbeam in their life for 6 weeks as you’ll contribute in helping them through organizing clubs and events to entertain them. In addition to the smiles you’ll receive from the kids, you’ll get the great feeling of changing their world as you’ll teach them to speak English. The age of the little children will be from 3 to 12 years old. Some of the many exciting activities that you’ll do with them will be Pottery, Drawing, Music and physical education. We hope to hear from you soon, Carthagely yours.

E x p e c t a t io n s f r o m t h e E P : *Consider the children as kind, innocent and little human beings that need the emotional bond of friendship. *Be patient and generous *Make everything possible for both sides to learn from the experience. *Create a healthy atmosphere in which everyone can improve himself. *Transmitting all sorts of emotions to the children from passion to motivation to achieve goals in life.

Job R o le : - Provide entertainment to sick children in the hospital, - Assist children (between 3 and 12 years old) in their educational activities and teach them English, - Provide children with education on citizenship, - Organize sports activities for children. - Assist disabled children in their activities in the center, - Develop their manual skills through activities such as pottery and drawing, - Help them set up small machines and gadgets that will facilitate their daily activities. - Teach French or English or how to use a computer to the children, - The fourth trainee is going to help the three others by organizing the events needed for the teaching activities. He will also assist the children in the entertaining clubs and organize community services inside the orphans’ village.

Vision: We want to get people to really appreciate Tunisia for the diamond that it is.In fact, if you just give a little bit of your time and explore this beautiful country, you’ll definitely fall in love with its culture, its weather and most importantly its people.

A bout: Project Discover Tunisia is a really interesting initiative that has been put together by AIESEC Carthage in order to show the insights of Tunisia and provide extraordinary footage that will furthermore improve our country’s landscapes and attractions’ visibility. O b je c t iv e s : *Enhance Tunisia’s reputation by focusing on its attractiveness and its various destinations. *Make a documentary that will be used to convince people to come to Tunisia. *Give the EPs who are going to come a chance to see by their own eyes the magnificent potential of this country.

Job R o le : As you’ll get across the country from north to south going through the center in a comfortable bus, you’ll need to: *Keep a blog updated with quality content. *Shoot a documentary about the different insights of Tunisia. *Be perfect ambassadors of Tunisia once you go home.
