Dear Friends,
Mercy!!! As we come this Sunday to the last day of the week-long Easter Sunday celebration, we are asked by the Church to focus on Gods great and abundant mercy. I would think that we are happy to do so. I know that the many people who took advantage of the Sacrament of Penance during Lent are happy about Gods mercy. In the recent Jubilee Year of Mercy I set a parish goal of every parishioner making a good confession during that year. I know that we failed to meet that goal. But I still maintain it as an important goal every year. What holds us back from something God wants so intensely to share with us?
Sometimes we discover the link between Gods love for us and the way we interact with and treat one another. When I fail to be patient with someone I always regret it right away because I know that people should be able to expect their priests to act like Jesus. He is, of course, very patient with all of His people. He is patient with us for more than one reason. One reason is because He knows how we are, He knows about our weakness. Another reason is that He wants to allow us to return to Him freely and purposefully, not under pressure.
Our parish celebration of Holy Week and Easter last week was truly special and great. I knew it would be memorable. I had often heard of the big way things are done here at St. Anthonys and I was not disappointed in my first personal experience of it. So, let me thank all of you who had a part in planning, practicing, organizing, cleaning up, or in any way contributing to the successful and prayerful accomplishment of our activities and traditions in honor of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. May He be praised, adored and loved! Thank you, all. Thank you, alleluia!
I invite you to pray for and support all of our newly baptized and confirmed parishioners and their families. As well, I want to thank all who helped prepare them and teach them, particularly Father Jeb and Father Alan, Miss Blanca Portillo, Mr. Michael Tovares, and Mr. Jose Lopez.

Estimados amigos,
Misericordia!!! Cuando venimos este domingo al ltimo da de la celebracin de la Semana de Pascua, la Iglesia nos pide enfocarnos en la gran y abundante Misericordia de Dios. Yo pensara que nos da alegra hacerlo. S que muchas de las personas que aprovecharon el Sacramento de la Penitencia durante la Cuaresma, estn felices con la Misericordia de Dios. En el reciente ao del Jubileo de la Misericordia, me trac una meta parroquial, la cual consiste en que cada feligrs haga una buena confesin durante ese ao. S que no se logr alcanzar ese objetivo. Pero aun as, lo mantengo como una meta importante de cada ao. Qu nos detiene de algo que Dios quiere compartir con nosotros con tanta intensidad? A veces descubrimos el vnculo entre el Amor de Dios por nosotros, y la forma en que interactuamos y nos tratamos los unos a los otros. Cuando no tengo paciencia con alguien, siempre lo lamento inmediatamente, ya que reconozco que las personas esperaran que sus sacerdotes acten como Jess. l es, por supuesto, muy paciente con toda Su gente. l es paciente con nosotros por ms de una razn. Una es porque l nos conoce y sabe cmo somos, l conoce nuestras debilidades. Otra razn es que Jess quiere que lleguemos a l libremente y con determinacin, sin ninguna presin. Nuestra celebracin parroquial de Semana Santa la semana pasada fue realmente especial y grandiosa. Saba que esa celebracin sera memorable. Frecuentemente o hablar de la forma tan grande en que se hacen las cosas aqu en San Antonio de Padua y ahora con mi primera experiencia personal, no fui defraudado. De tal manera, permtanme agradecerles a todos los que participaron en la planificacin, prctica, organizacin, limpieza, o de alguna manera contribuyeron al logro exitoso y piadoso de nuestras actividades y tradiciones en honor a Nuestro Salvador, Jesucristo. Que l sea alabado, adorado y amado! Gracias a todos. Gracias, aleluya! Los invito a orar y apoyar a todos nuestros feligreses recin bautizados y confirmados, as como tambin a sus familias.
